Nkuhuma Pride

  • The full complement of this pride, joined by the Northern Avoca males, began the giraffe-eating trend on the 6th when they had 80% of a giraffe bull at the Sausage Spot. The 20 lions made short work of their large kill; by the 8th, they were lounging around Mlowathi Dam.
  • The three females and seven cubs were with the two Northern Avoca males at the Sausage Spot again on the 13th.
  • On the 24th and 25th, all 18 lions were east of Stwise; they rested before killing an impala ram at nightfall on the 26th .

I saw a post (which I now can’t find) that said AE was heard denning w cubs.

On a different post, I saw a guest answer questions regarding seeing only ONE of Ridge Nose Cubs at a kill.   Concerning that no second cub was seen.   Hopefully it was just outside of sight.

Oldest young male has quite developed and dark mane already for his age (not even 3.5 yrs old), some ~ 4 year olds we have in Sabi Sands atm dont have mane like that.
