River Pride -
Females are receptive to mating for three or four days within a widely variable reproductive cycle. During this time a pair generally mates every 20–30 minutes, with up to 50 copulations per 24 hours.

Tanda Tula Update - Nharhu males and River Pride!
As for the rest of the week, it was one that delivered on almost every drive. The River Pride remained split into two fragments for most of the week; the mother and cub with one other lioness, and then the other two females (including the welcome signs that the youngest lioness is eventually pregnant again and will soon give birth to more cubs) on their own.  All Nharhu males were seen in various combinations this week, but they gave us some good roaring and mating performances throughout. The pride continues to be settled in their new part of their territory to the south-east of Tanda Tula.

That means Mbiris with Myambula pride moved deeper into KNP so there will be very little updates on them Sad I hope we will yet see those 2 brutes as well as 4 growing Myambula males.

Let's see what will happens. The Nharhu males are still the undisputed kings of a big portion of Timbavati. At this stage the Mbiri have much less chances to became dominant once again in the area. Now the three Nharhu males are over 5 even could 6 years old. Their manes and size now is remarkable. Lol

It seems they already decide to expand in other dirrection as I cough up with news on Sumatra and Hercules males. Now it seem much more likely that if we will have some updates on them, it will come from Ngala or Tintswalo than from Tanda Tula or Umlani.

Nah, they are not big at all althrough they are proving to be very strong coalition despite their size.

1) - Could be. The Nharhu males are one of the strongest coalitions that dominants the Timbavati area. They are very brave boys. So I don't surprised if they some day are seen on Tintswalo or Ngala.

2) Cathan Moore mentioned a couple of months ago that they were as the size of the Mbiri male (Shaka) during those times the Nharhu not were big as they are now.

I meant Mbiri male will will be see there if they indeed took over Sumatra/Hercules land.

Just to remaind you you yourself posted (https://wildfact.com/forum/topic-lion-tales?page=10) article which states that at age of 3 lions reach their full size. Nharhus were around 5 when one of Tanda Tula's guides stated in one of his raports that Mbiris are much larger and he can't get around how they manage to push Mbiris out of big part of their territory. Also in another blog couple of months ago it was stated that Mbiris are bigger.

To be honest. Their mane and size is completely different. The edition not is the best but I'll try to improve on it

Mane size and body size are two different things. It is like you would compare 18 years old men to the same men 7 years later and and said that he 7 years later must be bigger than before because his beard growed up.
