Disturbing sequence ! The eagle breeds only one baby bird: the strongest. Thus the weakest is mercyless sacrificed, and constantly tormented by its blood brother or sister.

Thats almost always the case in the eagle family. The largest chick is also almost always female. I feel sorry for the younger chick as the mother is doing nothing to protect it from its sibling. However, this is the survival of the fittest.

About #95: yes agree, but all birds are very cruel in order to allow the strongest to survive. Look at this one, it's the mother stork which, itself, eliminates the weakest chick.

/\ I must say in my honest opinion birds are more cruel to their young (weaker ones) in comparison to mammals.
