NK moving to Kruger might not be a bad thing for him, as currently, except maybe Skorro Breakaway young male, there are no other options available for him in Sabi Sands, as Tumbela and 2 Talamatis are obiviously not interested it seems like, and big groups like Kambulas and NKs wont accept him, because they dont need him at this point.

NK life so far is so familiar with another legend, Tsalala Solo.

Both as solo nomads joined a pride and made a coalition with their young males, then they both lost that partner, then they made a coalition with older solo males who got ousted, they somehow manage to get territorial briefly, but eventually lost the battle for territory, losing their older partner in process.

Then Solo moved in Kruger and was seen with few males like Shy Toulon (who was also prob killed shortly after) and lastly HRM, and eventually seen alone on S1 mating at ~ 12/13 yrs of age or so.

If NK indeed moves in Kruger, story of these 2 "unlucky" legends just continues to be very similar.

Kambula young males roar at Londolozi, probably the first time.

Interesting how youngest, K6, looks most determined to roar.

The beginning of greatness...hehehehe...

Things are getting interesting.

Hopefully these boys and the nkhulus avoid eachother. I dont care whomever each of these coalitions beat up as long as it's not between the two of them.

RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Duco Ndona - 09-13-2023

Honestly. If they did and thinned eachother out, it wouldnt be to bad.
It would prevent another Mapogo disaster from occuring in Sabi Sands.
While at the same time settles the score permanently. So we are saved from countless pointless debates between fanboys about which coalition would have won if they didn't clash.

Besides, it is likely going to happen. So might as well get it over with quick.

aaaanndddd back again

"Nkuhuma male with couple of scars on his back, nice seeing this fella still kicking"

RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Duco Ndona - 09-13-2023

That looks nasty. Clearly another lion was out for his spine.

The gash on the left doesn't look recent though? So he has been in multiple fights I guess?

RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Friarfan619 - 09-13-2023

Damn wish talamati would've accepted him.

This is exactly what I was afraid of when he went into Kruger, so many lions there. Man, I really hate this for him. I will continue to hope that he can find a partner, or at least comes back to SS.

He is back, this is Singita/Londolozi based of ranger who posted.

Oh, good, that makes me feel at least a little better. Obviously he ran into some trouble somewhere. Maybe this happened in Kruger, causing him to return to more familiar surroundings. I just really hope things work out for him.

RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Duco Ndona - 09-14-2023

I dont know. Its going to be quite a problem if he returned to western sector right now. I don't think his odds are any higher in SS.
The only thing that changed during his short trip is that one of the southern avocas is now a solo nomad.

RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - BA0701 - 09-14-2023

Well, in my mind, that just means that a pairing with the remaining S Avoca is now a possibility, whereas it wasn't prior to his going into Kruger. I am not saying that is likely to happen, I am simply saying his options for finding a partner have actually increased, so in that regard it is at least a small improvement to his chances.

RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Mapokser - 09-14-2023

Kambulas roaring will probably start the beginning of the end for at least one dominant male/coalition in SS.

Probably only Ndhzengas will be safe if they play smart avoiding getting close. I doubt Kambulas will target their natal pride when they have many other options. Throughout all their nomadic life I don't think they have ventured into Ndhzenga core territory in Mala Mala.

@Tr1x24 young male was the most interested in his sister, he is probably eager to take over a pride for a while despite his age.
