Just google it.

It is possible, its called "Chimera" and its not that rare in cats.

But its hard to tell if some lions have this because the same hair color, so based on this home cats examples they assume its prob the same with lions. And it says that in some cases this can be completely unnoticeable.

Those rangers prob know what they are talking about.

What is a chimera? | New Scientist

Human Chimera: How a Man's Unborn Twin Fathered His Child | Time

Prince Othawa/OM/Nguvu may have absorbed a brother while still in the womb.  If that brother was sired by a different Majingi, then OM himself still only has one father, but he contains DNA from his sibling's father as well.  If the absorbed sibling had the same father, then OM contains DNA of only one male, but is still a chimera since he absorbed a sibling.

Chimerism isn't as rare as we think, but it is still rare.  In all likelihood OM was a regular lion.  If the Majingis were closley related (unlike the Mpondos), then it's very possible for their direct offspring to favor an uncle.  He could be Dark Mane's son, but still favor Scar Nose thanks to a genetic marker passed on from his grandparents that manifested in Scar Nose but not in Dark Mane.

It's common for littermates to have different fathers so OM and Sassy weren't full siblings necessarily.

I think the biggest of Sassy's youngest daughters look like DM sometimes. One of them too, I don't remember which, also has darker skin and DM had very dark skin.

Still, it's impossible to know for sure.
