Those last two pics of the lions don't really fit this topic. The first lion is just a random pic of a lion walking, its shoulders partly covered, average build, the other pic is just a very small picture of a lion, you can't really see it. It would have to be enlarged to see if it has a large neck or shoulders.

They were impressive to me, just like the saggy neck on the captive lion was impressive to you. Why don't you worry about what you post only.

No they weren't, and one of the pics you can't even see the lion. Yet you post 25 other pics of tigers. And then you call the captive neutered lion with the huge neck saggy. I don't think so, its clear the trainers head is pressed against the lion's neck, that's a mound of muscle.

Havd you actaually ever seen wild & captive, lions & tigers with your own eyes??!!! I have..all four..dozen specimens each..minimum...

The captive ones often get a flab on the throat, more so in colder areas, where they gain fat in winter.
The neck of both wild & captive from both species are always solid (there's a furry ruff at best, check Kingtheropod's tiger)...On the lion further from the camera you can actually see it!!!

I agree that @Pckts 2nd lion is nothing special, but the 1st one is...

The neutered lions always have some loose fur in different places. Tigers have loose skin and fur everywhere even on the body and chest.

Lion's are pretty much just skin, except the mane, without that mane yet grown in the skin is pretty tight even on the neck. A previous pic showed this as well.

I don't know much about effects of neutering on lions or tigers..So, i should refrain from making further comments.

Dont try to turn it into LvsT thread.
No one needs your fanboyish biased opinions on lions and tigers here.
