Two Brothers

Two tiger cubs, one shy and gentle and the other bold and fierce, are separated when one is sold to the circus. Years later, they are reunited by a hunter played by Guy Pearce.

@Rishi: yes a good film dating from 2004... Action occurring at the time were India was colonised by the England (XIXth century). The two tigers are nice. But I think that the human actors are rather without substance. Even if I appreciated Guy Pearce very much in general.

It's a film realised by Jean-Jacques Annaud (French) who sooner, in 1988, realised "The bear" from the novel "The Grizzly king" written by James Olivier Curwood in 1916. And the bear, Bart, was trained by Doug Seus. Very good movie too.

Both animalian films realised by Jean-Jacques Annaud who, IMO, prefered to work with the tigers rather than with the bears (Bart wounded him during production).

@Rishi : A last word to add: I didn't want to give the feeling of dislinking the "Two Brothers" movie.

But "The Grizzly king" is a real novel*, written by James Olivier Curwood and whose reading I would advise you. And thank to this book, the character of the different actors, humans and animals are more thorough. We understand one of the hunters' shift.

To sum up, having such a starting material gives a great advantage to the film director... Curwood really knew the life in the North American wild nature. At first hunter and after great defender of the wildlife nature.

*: a real novel like the Arthur London's ones like "The Call of the Wild" and "White Fang"... James Oliver Curwood also wrote an other wildlife novel " Baree, Son of Kazan "

I don't know if this is appropriate but what do you think about the upcoming Godzilla vs Kong, @GuateGojira ? Can't wait.  Grin Grin

The teaser trailer for Forgotten Bloodlines: Agate! For those unaware, this will be a 40 minute CG documentary focusing on animals of the Miocene, coming 2022.
