Want a perfect binoculars for wildlife - parvez - 01-01-2020

Hi everyone, i am searching for a perfect binoculars for viewing tigers particularly. I read about those that can show upto 2-3kms in hd view. That would be much better. But i would like to know which is best in range of less than 100USD. Please share your opinions and suggestions on this.

Thanks,

I used binoculars quite often when I was in Scandinavia, South America and Australia. I got them from relatives who bought them shortly after WWII. Those who had experience told me binoculars produced in Russia were both good and cheap in those days, but that was quite some time ago.

I use Nikons which I remember not being pricey.
You definitely want binoculars before a safari so I do recommend getting them.
A good trick if you have steady hands is to put your phone camera lens up to the binocular and use it as a zoom function, my Gf does that quite often.

@Pckts yes that is the technique i too wanted to use. Taking pictures of far away objects through phone via binoculars. I am planning to buy comet 10*50 which i think is good one. Nikon was slightly costlier. Comet i am getting for 50usd. The dealer told you can view distance of 4kms using them. That's good one i thought. Thanks for reply.

Thanks,

Totally depends on how much magnification the user is looking for... Actually nowadays a decent zoom camera screen can show 50X magnified view, against 10-20X in standard binoculars below ₹10000.
For low budget Wildlife Binoculars by Olympus or Decathlon are the best bang for buck... Not very big in India but good quality & hardy products within reasonable price range.  They make separate models for wildlife, astronomy etc. Good wide-angle lens with upto 20X zoom at that price.

Celestron & Carson are definitely best, but filthy expensive .
Nikon India products I find too costly for what they offer.

@Rishi Comet binoculars are better than my previous binoculars that were sakura 10-380x piece. They are good in clarity view and objects at a distance of 2km can be seen easily. I am personally satisfied with it. At price, it is good and cheap cost binoculars. I give it 4 of 5 rating.
