They are definetly sired by same father, based of looks, we cant know if they where littermates, but theres a good chance they are.

Clearly they aren’t abandonning that territory, its the second time they were seen with Styx pride this week. Southern pride however, I can say has been abandonned by N’was as there really has been 0 sightings of any male with the Southern lioness and her daughters, and she has been mating with S1 male.

They where seen with Styx's at Umkumbe, this is north of Sabi Sabi, and Selati Camp.

They still patrol to Selati Camp, which is northern Sabi Sabi, south of that they pretty much abandon at this point, which was their core territory before expansion.

Styx's did smart move and moved north, still in Ndhzengas domain.

Well I think, nwaswitshaka males are playing this game wwith a new strategy. 2 fittest males go on expanding the territory, take the overview of new land, lionesses which the remaining two partners take care of current prides and cubs.
Like this they escape from mating right fights.
Donno for haw long this strategy gonna work

I don't think it's a strategy. The two males with injuries just don't have the mobility to keep up with their brothers on long patrolling trips, they stick with the prides since it allows them to get food regularly and it's just safer for them. The prides get some extra protection as well but that's just an unintended consequence from their current circumstances.

RE: N'waswitshaka males - DARK MANE - 06-18-2022

Nwaswitshaka males haven't visited southern lioness and two daughters for mnths ( atleast 4 maybe). So is it assumed that they abandoned this pride??
Also what is the age of both S1 males??

RE: N'waswitshaka males - Duco Ndona - 06-18-2022

Pretty much.

The S1 Males moved into the Southern prides territory and the Nwaswitshakas decided that the south became too much risk to control without splitting up and potentially losing members to ambush attacks and moved north where they had more mating and feeding opportunities.

As a result the Styx pride suddenly found parts of their territory rendered dangerous due to the S1 lions presense and shifted north aswell. The Southern pride however cant do that without confronting the Styx. So has little choice than submit to the S1.

The exact age of the S1 is unknown I think. But Id guess around 5.
