Btw yet about size of those lions from Sabi Sabi. They indeed are smaler than Birminghams.

"Our rangers headed out one morning and were witness to something quite amazing – two male lion coalitions chasing one another.  One coalition comprising of the two Birmingham males who are considerably bigger, older and more dominant; chasing the four young, less experienced, and smaller males of the N’waswishaka male coalition…  Tyron summed up the sighting in his blog, “A whole lot of roar”."

Well yes, as we said before, they will need to gain some weight, and they will, as they get older and close to prime yrs.

It looks like N'was males can't make their mind who to take on - Birminghams or S Avocas or perhaps they want to take territory of both.

RE: N'waswitshaka males - Blondemane - 04-29-2020

To take S.Avoca territory they have to go into the Kruger... this duo have a huge territory.

Yes, Lion Sands its not exactly S. Avocas territory, maybe small portion on the east near Kirkmans Kamp.

After some very vocal activities and loads of movement as seen from their tracks, we eventually caught up with four male lions and a female lion as they were lounging around on some rocky outcrops, looking like they have had a good feast in the past couple of days.

Its very likely that old Nwaswitshaka males where detroned by 2 Charleston males in 2017 (idk how many of the 3 where still alive in that time, but they where 10+ yrs old then) , as they holded territory that Charlestons occupy in Kruger.
