Surprising events/interspecific interactions - Shadow - 09-05-2019
This thread is for incidents and interactions where wild animals surprise people with different kind of co-operation/adoptions etc. No captive animals here or interactions between captive animals which have been raised together, only incidents from wild without people involved to development of situations.
I am not sure if this has been already posted here. Still this is a rare and very interesting incident because it looks like it, that this leopard cub died because of illness, not by other lions etc.

Another, a bit older but still a very interesting incident. Again lion acts in a very surprising way.

This tiger and how it took care of cubs has been mentioned before. Still this video is interesting to watch and what makes this male tiger and incident so special is, that it didn´t just look after for a moment these cubs. It raised them from tiny cubs to adult tigers, fed and protected them all that time. Old "story" but really interesting. Hopefully something new here for some people to find out.

The male Leopard had killed an antelope and dragged the kill to a tree where he ate half of it before leaving the tree to relax on the ground. The Hyena was attracted to the smell of the kill and was hanging about hoping to get some scraps. The Leopard accepted the Hyena, probably because he realized that the Hyena could not get to the kill.
