At some point in the near future, Uma will have to kick his son out of his territory, just like he did to MV2.
It's amazing how they can go from cuddly to forceful just due to the marginal size increase of the male cub.

They'd be lucky to have Uma be the one to kick them out, Mukki is a tough place for young males to grow up in.

Low key want to see how these cubs turn out. Father Mowgli is huge and mother Jharni (daughter of legendary Waghdoh) with their 2 cubs.

After Zalim of Ranthambore, we have another case of a father raising his cubs. This comes from Panna. Tigress P 213 - 32 died and P243 who is the father is seen raising 4 cubs.
P243 has been collared.

Not sure what the Forest Department are going to do here. I remember they removed couple of cubs in care of a male in Bandhavgarh when their mother died. But, these cubs are very young. It’s already been 1 month of cubs under their father’s care, that is interesting.

When their mother died leaving four tiger cubs orphaned, forest officials at the Panna Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh, wondered if they should be removed to a protected enclosure, or left to fend for themselves in the jungle. The matter was taken out of their hands when the father of the cubs decided to step in.

7 months after their mother died, the Panna’s “orphaned” cubs are thriving. 3 males and 1 female are now 15 months old and started hunting for themselves. As mentioned on post #84, these cubs are being raised by the collared massive Panna male called P243.
P243 is a huge male (mother being T2 from Kanha while father T3 is from Pench). His territory is massive and only a small portion falls in the tourism zone. He has been courting 2 females T652 and T142. This has meant he has been in continuous conflict with males T431, T271, T621 and his brother from the same litter T241. Hence, the nasty gash on his nose. He has recovered just fine.
About the cubs:
The mother tiger had trained the cubs well before she died. She had marked out the territory within which they could roam and the cubs never transgressed that area. For about 10 months the cubs remained in the one square kilometre that their mother had introduced them to,” the forest official said. The limited area they frequent is called Cube Territory, he explained. But now with increased confidence levels, the tigers roam outside that area too, he said.
“It will not be long before the four tigers will part ways and head out to mark out their own territories,” Uttam Kumar said. They are capable of protecting themselves from bigger animals such as the leopard and the bear. However, they can still be in danger from the other tigers in the jungles of Panna, he said. Meanwhile the tigers are now hunting their own prey such as wild pigs, sambhar, nilgai, etc.
Even P243 has reduced his presence around the cubs as they have grown still checking up on them from time to time. A bit different to what we saw Zaalim do at Ranthambore.

Father T7 ( he definitely weighs more than 180 kilos) with his cubs that he sired with tigress P234. Their last litter comprised of 2 males - Heera and Panna. Heera is in the buffers while Panna was poached.
