Golden Girl.....
She is Jhurjhura Tigress, the First Tiger I sighted in the wild. Sadly, She died on 18/05/2010 coz some influential people entered the park beyond park timings and are accused of hitting her with their vehicle. At that time she had 3 small cubs of 6 months old, one of the cubs too died later on. Despite a strong demand of a CBI enquiry in the whole episode, local CID enquiry was done and no one has been brought to justice till date. Here is the link to the read about the whole episode – http://www.tigersintheforest.co.uk/jhurjhura-tigress . If possible do write to the people concerned using the links to which are given on the above page.
The death of this beautiful and iconic tigress leaves behind too many unanswered questions like Why influential people are allowed entries in parks during non tourism hours? Who gives such permissions? Why the enquiry of the incident was not handed over to the CBI? Why no conviction so far? This is a death that occurred right in the core of the forest so where is the accountability?

Arrowhead - She now looks big. My favourite tigress currently in Ranthambhore national park. — at The Ranthambhore Bagh.

Arrowhead again - She surely has been showing up good for us in the last 3 days, though no action as yet. She did try a very very lame charge at a Sambar and that was about all the action I have seen since 18th January. Still got another 20 odd safaris so keeping my fingers crossed. — at Ranthambhore National Park.

RE: B2 and Other Great Tiger Pics from India - Roflcopters - 02-18-2016

good to see my boy Wagdoh again, I heard bufferzone's battle ground had a tough time with all the power hungry males going for Wagdoh's territory and the coal mine male's son took control of Agarzari from Wagdoh but Wagdoh defeated and killed a male in july 2015 from Devada side and Wagdoh now still controls junona, devada buffer and most of the area north of Devada.. what an intense season it must have been and despite Wagdoh's old age. he has managed to bounced back from looking fairly out of shape to the prime Wagdoh that we saw in 2011-2012. also Wagdoh is a well known cattle killer and that explains how he keeps his excellent physique. I heard coal mine male's son goes by the name of "Khali" and he's a large beast, maybe even bigger than most of the tadoba zone males. Shiva (Wagdoh's son) was also spotted recently and is still lurking under the shadows of Namdev/Katezari/Gabbar. good times for Tadoba in terms of tiger population but the number of males living in the park will cause chaos for even the most dominant males. Bajrang has a very steady control of Mohurli and Teliya, Saturn aka Namdev is doing great in terms of territory and he's still tolerating his son Matkasur in his territory. I think if this keeps on happening, saturn might set himself up for tough times. no news of Katezari and his area is now closed for tourists. Rahbya male from Kolsa is the most dominant force in Kolsa and there's 4 other fully matured males in Kolsa tolerating each other. I guess history is repeating itself, except this time it's not just Tadoba zone with Katezari, Gabbar, Pandu, Namdev, Shiva and Vasant Bandhara fighting for one spot (2013 situation). this time every dominant male from (tadoba zone, bufferzone and kolsa) have their hands full and increasing pressure from non resident males is keeping everyone busy. Bajrang is the only male that doesn't seem to be getting any competition and as long as Shiva has the  non resident tag, he better be careful. similarly Kanha's mukki zone is going through the exact same thing.

Praveen Siddannavar Photography:
Jamani male – The months of February in central India are expected to be cold; surprisingly at Tadoba it was warmer than expected, probably the global warming effect and of course mining activities around this park. This made impact on most of the animals that were spotted frequenting water holes to quench their thirst. This handsome tiger was seen drinking water at a small pond which is almost dry. Life is gonna be tough from March onwards when most of the small water holes will dry up…

Ookhan is a massive male.

IMO Ookhan was bigger than Waghdoh.
As a subadult he dwarfed his father Brokentail (Yeda anna).

Unfortunately he is been missing for around 4 years and be possibly dead.
He went missing when he was still a subadult.
Here is a video showing Ookhan and his father Brokentail
