Shivaji

This is what the photographer said,
Easily the biggest Tiger I have ever seen in Tadoba (have still not managed to see Wagdoh ), Shivaji is a treat to watch. As he emerged from a bamboo thicket and walked away, I kept praying for him to turn back and glance once in our direction, but alas that was not to be I have not seen too many recent images of this majestic creature shared from Kolsa & I hope that The Boss is healthy & safe !

Yours truly happens to be one of a handful of guys to have not only sighted but also photograph this extremely shy Tigress ! This one-eyed female looks to be around 4-5 yrs old and is a resident of the Agarzhari buffer zone of Tadoba. After spending 3 full days in Agarzhari, I finally managed to track her down, courtesy fresh scat as well as pugmarks in December 2013. Fresh pugmarks of Wagdoh besides her trail also suggested she might perhaps have been courting him too. She runs for cover the moment any vehicle approaches and hence is seldom sighted. Her eye injury which looked quite recent, could perhaps have been sustained during a hunt. Hope she litters this coming season and goes onto become the Queen of her domain despite the handicap, a la Kankati (with a happy ending of course).

here you go Pckts, this should help. - 24th on the list is Pakke Tiger Reserve and if you look at the numberings, 16th on the list is Kaziranga so this population is just another version of Assamese Bengals.

Here's a few Camera trap photos of males from this reserve (I posted this on the original ava)

If you notice their built and appearance, there's not much difference between them or any other tiger from Manas, Kaziranga, Orang etc etc.

and Finally, some more information about the Pakke Tiger Reserve (Below)

Pakke Tiger Reserve is a Project Tiger tiger reserve in the East Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh in northeastern India. The 862 square kilometres reserve is protected by the Department of Environment and Forest of Arunachal Pradesh.

Bhutan tigers are impressive and look as large as those of Nepal or the Assam area.

As Bhutan belongs to the famous Terai arc, I suspect that all the tiger populations on this area represents the largest tigers at this day.
