Chanda Tigress from 2013 (mother of T120/Yoda)

A tiger that has changed our perceived notion of tiger behavior in recent times is T-120. Ever wondered where the legendary tigers of today got their awesome genes from? In a series of throwback images from the past - way back in the past, let's take a look at these legendary tigers who created the hulks of today.
Meet Chanda, mother of T-120. Chanda is the first litter of the legendary T-19, Krishna.
Fathered by T-3, Bahadur, and T-63, Chanda, T-120, the legend of today was born. Now we know where he gets his deadly looks from.

@Roflcopters , Kuhani / Shiva's cub is looking good. Have the cubs separated from their mom now and living independently? I guess there were 3 cubs right? Have they been named yet?

two males and 1 female if i’m not mistaken, the cub i posted is named “Raja” and i don’t think the other two are officially named yet. also they are just about old enough to disperse on their own.

world’s longest animal underpass and perhaps one of the most futuristic with noise cancellation barriers so animals don’t get disturbed from the traffic passing by.

this is the only video i could find with english subtitles, truly this is an infrastructural masterpiece.

RE: B2 and Other Great Tiger Pics from India - Ashutosh - 11-27-2022

@Roflcopters, the female cub of Shiva and Kuwani female has been named Shivani (an amalgamation of both their names).

And, there are other such underpasses planned including in Kaziranga along the Karbi-Anglong Highway connecting the hills to the grasslands where crossings results in quite a few deaths. There are some proposals for these to come up in Western India near Ranthambore and Mukundra. And, most likely in Rajaji landscape as well.

While these underpasses definitely have improved the roadkill situation, let us not forget that T1 aka Chorbahuli male or Mystery Male from Pench was the most frequent tiger using this underpass as his territory spanned on both sides of the road. This year he died after being hit by the car on a part of the road where this underpass didn’t exist (he was also previously filmed a couple of times on this road). These are only built intermittently. Also, they affect arboreal animals like primates more profoundly as they have to venture away from the safety of their canopy to cross over.
