As i understand, Phatio was referring to these two photos, seem to be two different tigers. The first i think that is Bheem. But the second?

The biggest give away is the dot parelell to the eye facing slightly upward with the "V" underneath.

obviously you're not look at their facial marking and stripe pattern closely.
do you really think they're the same tiger?

both are big bandhavgarh's tigers but they're two different specimen for sure.

@Ngala, yup that is exactly what i thought

Might be right but to me it looks like the angles of the photo's.

well actualy it's not so hard to spot the difference. similar but not the same. Bheem is a tiger i familiar with.
but ok since you insist here's Bheem right profile vs the other tiger's.

very different isn't it?

anyway, what is the hanging skin below that stanger male tiger's jaw? never seen something like that before.

RE: B2 and Other Great Tiger Pics from India - Pckts - 02-26-2017

It's too close for me to tell for sure but you might be right, I asked the photographer who posted it as well. In regards to the swollen jaw, I'd assume it's a swollen wound or abscess like the one Raja of bandipur has on his elbow.

He says he's positive they are both bheem so go figure. We'll have to see if any other new photos of bheem come out and check his jaw.
But the more I look at it the more I think you're right, I wonder which male it is?

RE: B2 and Other Great Tiger Pics from India - Pckts - 02-27-2017

He's going to go through his images with a fine toothed comb, he said he has 100s of bheem and other tigers from Bandhavgarh, hopefully he can give us confirmation on which male it is if it is different from Bheem which he still thinks they are the same but we'll see.

Yes both are two different male tigers.

The first male is Bheema aka Tarun.
The second male with a swollen throat is Munga aka Mangu.

Hope it helps.

RE: B2 and Other Great Tiger Pics from India - Ngala - 02-28-2017

Thanks @Apollo for clarifying this point.

They definitely look similar, I fell for it and a few others who've seen them for years were confused by their identity as well.
