Good morning friends
Here's the second pic from the recent Pench experience, the 2nd biggest hunk, BMW. This one welcomed us in its massive presence for about 1 hour, in golden light. Look at those eyes...
Btw, coming up next, the biggest male of Pench. Keep watching...

Crazy, well I guess it's settled... Ryakkassa is officially the biggest male in Pench, not the Bmw male.

Back from an exhilarating trip to Mowgli"s land, Pench tiger reserve. Saw the big 3 males of this amazing ecological treasure trove. Also saw the elusive leopard and plethora of various bird and reptilian species.
For starters, here is the new kid on the block, Tarzan. A young male, yet to reach full adulthood. Tracked it for almost 45 minutes. Handsome, isn't he?

"Walk in the sunshine"
With a pleasant winter sun keeping you warm, crisp and fresh air of the forest, the cracking of the branches, the birds; and Bamera striding towards you....For a moment the camera is quite forgotten....
This is a particularl favorite of mine...

Remembering Bamera...
The undisputed king of Bandhavgarh, once upon a time, he passed away on 19-May-16 at the age of 13. I have such wonderful memories of him, both waiting in expectation for a glimpse and then to have all your wishes come true.
Rest in peace big boy...

His arms are absurd, they don't even look real.

RE: B2 and Other Great Tiger Pics from India - Pckts - 06-05-2016

Speaking of monstrous arms, Bamera had a pair of cannons on him as well...

Were Tigers Rule...
"Ghora Demon " . This image is Bamera at Ghora Demon.
Any 1 who has been to Bandhavghar even once knows this place.
This is 1 place which was ruled by most of the famous male tiger's of Bandhavghar like B2, Kallu, Bamera and many more in the past.
I made this image in jan 2011 when it was ruled by Bamera Male, he had recently fought with B2 to conquer Ghora Demon and sita mandap area. B2 was old even he knew that he wont be able to defend and that could be a good reason for him to leave the area.
I was not lucky enough to see B2 this time, but he was seen by some other tourists. Giving an assurance that he is safe.
This evening we saw bamera sleeping right in the center of the road while we were on the way to Ghora Demon. Later he got up and started his long walk, Spraying and scratch marking all the way and showing every1 that this is now his territory.
Later in november 2011 at the age of 14 years B2 died of Old age.
And on the 20th of may 2016 after Battling for life for almost six months Bamera Died.

Tiger Tiger Tiger !!!!!
It was peak monsoon whole park was lush green with dense and thick vegetation.
Out of nowhere comes this guy ..Gabbar..... He is one of the struggling male tigers of Tadoba , still fighting to get his own territory.
It was after 3 days of empty safari's in heavy rain......Even this day started as a usual monsoon safari with a slight bit of drizzle. But as i always say and believe, U never know whats waiting on the next turn....... Thats wildlife....
This morning i saw 2 of Maya's tiny little cubs, that was the 1st or may be the 2nd ever sighting of her cubs. Most of the people didn't believe me when i told them about the cubs. But later after 2 months maya got her all 3 cubs out and today maya and her cubs are one of the most seen family in tadoba.
As i was heading back to the gate another surprise was waiting for me...... It was Gabbar. Walking with the Swag, head high walking right towards my gypsy from cheetal road. Trust me what a unforgettable sight it is to see a tiger in lush green forest. I was suffering from heavy fever, cough and cold. But as he started walking behind everything was gone, felt as if noting has happened to me .
He was seen after a long gap, He decided to walk behind my gypsy for a good 25-30 mins with no other vehicle around to disturb. What a day it was.
I still regret not getting any good image of the cubs but still satisfied, Thinking that at-least i saw such tiny Tigers....
