Warning, a little gory. Another male killing an offspring not of its own blood directly after birth.

Just curious, how often do herbivorous animals kill the offspring not of their own, compared to primates or carnivores doing so?

The park of my dreams! 120 Royal Bengal tigers, 600 dinosaur-like rhinos + magnificent view towards the snowy range of the mighty Himalayas - could be any place in this planet more interesting than Chitwan national park? Lucky guy.
Even if the possibility to see tiger for 3-4 days is not that high.

To put posts 238 and 240 into perspective, Tyrannosaurus rex stood 16 feet high measured from the top of his hips ( as bipedal dinosaurs should be measured for height ).

"This is MY spot on the lake." A little bit of drama between these two, massive #Moose bulls. The one on the right had just swam across the lake (see my pics from last week) and was seeming to enjoy its time alone when another bull arrived. It did not appreciate the intrusion and feigned an attack rushing toward the other. The interloper didn't want the confrontation and ran into the water to get out the way. Very fun and exciting to see!
