Not to be confused with the two older Mbiri Males sired by Matimbas. The 3 Mbiri Males around 3 to 4 years old were seen recently at Manyeleti in company with a Nharu Male. The 4 males look big and in great shape, had a successful buffalo kill recently. Nice close-up of a green-eyed young Mbiri. They look like a promising coalition. Here are close-up pictures of the males' fathers, the Thanda Impi Coalition.... Sept 29 Both Koppies females & 7 cubs *This image is copyright of its original author I haven’t seen any updates in Oct but with the pressure from other prides in the north and west (and no males) I’m assuming they want to keep a low profile. RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Potato - 11-02-2020 Nharhu male and young Mbiri males on buffalo kill with Mbiri pride. Thank you for posting this @Gijima Well, this was taken about a month after the fight with the Mbiris, and the first sign I have seen that both lionesses are alive, so this is great to see! RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Cath2020 - 11-03-2020 Yes, very encouraging sign. It seems that injured lioness rallied back and is now helping the other pride lioness with their cubs! Wish them the best of luck. RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tr1x24 - 11-04-2020 Scorro Thanda Impi with a cub from Birmingham pride on Ngala, in August 2014 : Photo Credits : Scott Nyams *This image is copyright of its original author This is yet another hint that Scorro sired RRM, because Scorro was hanging out with Birmingham pride (or some portion of it) in late 2013-2014, after the last Old Birmingham male left the pride. Avoca/Giraffe males came later, prob thru 2015 (i might be wrong, but first picture that i find of Avocas/Giraffes with them is from late 2015). And i think we dissmised that Matimbas where dominant over Birminghams. Also that would be the reason of making Birmingham breakeaway or as we know them Red Road pride, to run away and save their cubs from Avoca/Giraffes, they where seen first time in late 2015 in Manyeleti, consistent of 2 adult Birmingham lionesses, 1 subadult male and 2 subadult females (2 lionesses im Birmingham pride are belived to be 7 yrs old, maybe they are those 2, RRM's sisters). Next thing is that first offspring that Avoca/Giraffes sired in Birmingham pride was born yet in mid 2016.. And all evidence suggest that those 3 cubs from RRP where born around early 2014.. And we dont have any lions born in between, so what where Avoca/Giraffes doing to not sire any offspring in between, if they are dominating Birmingham pride since 2013, 3 years with no cubs?? Unless somebody have source/picture/report that Avoca/Giraffes where with Birmingham pride before 2015/14, all evidence shows us that RRM is son of Scorro. It seems like the pride really didn’t have any dominant males and the Bboys + sisters just left on their own in mid 2014, so that timeline definitely makes sense.(11-04-2020, 12:07 AM)Tr1x24 Wrote: Scorro Thanda Impi with a cub from Birmingham pride on Ngala, in August 2014 :The Red road male most likely was sired by Skorro. |
