RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tr1x24 - 12-06-2019 (12-06-2019, 02:22 AM)NCAT33 Wrote: Who are the Orpen males? I know it was mentioned in an earlier post. Junior Matimba, born in Nkuhuma pride in 2012, sired by Matimbas, and his coalition partner named Buddy, his origins are unknown. RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Blondemane - 12-08-2019 I also think this red road male is a brave lion, here some words about him and orpen males in africageographic... "It’s been a successful month for the Mbiri Pride, our resident lions, and they have hardly needed to move far from the lodge as they make kills near the riverbed and relax for days until they get hungry again. The Nharu Pride revealed their cubs to us when we followed them to a kill. There were over 25 hyenas surrounding the kill, hoping to get a piece of the action. But the Red Road male was continually roaring and growling which kept the hyenas back and fearful. But his roaring proved to come back and bite him, as two large Orpen Males were obviously attracted by the sounds and arrived to chase him off. The theatre of the wilderness is certainly puts on a good show, and we can’t wait to see what the next month has in line for our eager guests." Does he control any prides? RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tr1x24 - 12-14-2019 (12-14-2019, 02:15 AM)Cunaguaro Wrote: The legendary Scorro Thanda Impi after the rain at Manyeleti. What a beast this boy is, his legendary video of running straight into buffalo heard and taking down a buffalo all by himself is one of the most epic things i've seen in lions world, not many lions can/or have the courage to do that.. If their sons Nharu and Mbiri young males will have half the heart of their fathers, they will be great lions.
