It was worse before..

Dominant coalition pause briefly as they hear a Lioness calling in the distance. Soon after they joined the lionesses of the Sand River Pride.

S.Avoca Males at Tengile, Sabi Sands.
Walking along a road can save you from the pestering flies, ticks and thorns in the long grass but it doesn't offer much concealment. The two Avoca males are alerted at the sound of a baboon alarming at their exposed position.

RE: Avoca male lions - T I N O - 11-30-2020

Great video of DM. He is a very impressive and tall specimen.
BTW,Those swellings on the elbows of DM,Isn't TB?

RE: Avoca male lions - Gijima - 11-30-2020

@"TinoArmando" I was wondering why Blondie looked so young! Thanks for clarifying.

I think DM just has very hairy elbows. I looked at recent pictures of him and don’t see swelling. I also know cats can get hygroma(?) ... I think that’s what Mohawk and two of the Talamati sub adults has.
