I was just going to ask from @Scout if anything against it, that moving this posting to lion predation thread? I think, that way more suitable thread.

Edit: @Scout  I hope that you don´t mind, I moved this buffalo hunting photo with related postings here since comparison thread is for a bit different kind of postings.

Here is a little bit more information concerning Sirikoi, even though nothing mentioned about his hunting habbits, this information opens up more his situation and explains a bit why he hunts alone.

By Trish Heather-Hayes Born in February 2014 to mother Zeeva and father Mohawk. Although Zeeva was also seen mating with Simbeo, Sirikoi has the charataristics and colouring of Mohawk. 

He was brought up in the lower area of the park, being Mokoyiet down to Hippo pools, Sosian Valley and No 10b with his sister Saruni. Who was later killed. 

Late 2017 he mated with Athi, the grand lady of the Athi Basin and also with her two daughters Kili and Mwenzi, all of which had cubs, Athi 2, Mwenzi 3 and Kili 2 and they were a beautiful family seen around the Dam and Rhino Circuit, but sadly by January 2018 all the cubs had disappeared, causes unknown. 

In April 2018 the small pride of Sirikoi and his 3 ladies raided a boma outside the park towards the Sholinke area. Athi, despite her wearing a collar, and Mwenzi were both speared and killed there. Sirikoi escaped and made his way back to the park but Kili, it is assumed, was wounded and was never seen again. 

Traumatized and having lost his complete family, Sirikoi disappeared for roughly 3 months, only to appear much to everyone’s surprise, close to Junction 22 having come down out of the Langata forest. Rarely seen but still known to be around in the forest, he kept to himself and away from the “old Boys” Sam and Cheru who are the dominant males of the upper end of the park. He has began to venture out more and can now often be seen at Eland Dam, down to No 9 and across to all the Kingfisher areas. 

On one of his visits out of the forest he had a confrontation with the 4 Kingfisher females Morana, Amani, Leboia and Alamaya and sadly killed two of Alamaya’s three cubs, which she ran off carrying. The cub is still around today but was adopted by Amani after Alamaya virtually abandoned her. 

In March 2019 we came across him at the Athi Dam. He walked along all his old haunts where he had been with his Athi family and into Rhino Circuit, stiffing and scenting around. He looked as though he was going to cross the boundary river but changed his mind and wandered off, whereupon we then lost him. He kept himself well out of the way of the Athi dominant males Mpakasi and Kitili. Three days later he was casually sleeping on the earth mounds at Eland Dam and as far as is known has not ventured to Athi again. Just a trip for old times sake maybe? 

A beautiful male, now coming into his prime at 5 years old, maybe biding his time in the upper area to stage a take over from Sam and Cheru, time will tell. 

He has mated with Lara, the last of the old time ladies of the Kingfisher group, who has not been seen for a couple of months and we are hoping she may just appear accompanied by his offspring.
