RE: Leopard Tooth? - jbanneheka - 03-06-2018 Yep, that looks better. There is around 700 leopards in sri lanka. I think they are a bit smaller than others. I have read this article.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sri_Lankan_leopard I have read that sri lankan leopards are smaller than african leopards. If its not a leopards tooth, what it can be? @GrizzlyClaws thanks a lot you all.. cheers Deesh RE: Leopard Tooth? - Pckts - 03-06-2018 (03-06-2018, 10:54 PM)jbanneheka Wrote: Yep, that looks better. Some say Sri Lanken Leopards are larger than most due to their lack of Competition from larger Carnivores but I have spoken to someone who has seen both and he said that the African are larger and I have only seen one male Indian and African Leopard but the Male African Leopard I saw was huge, the indian was a good size but he didn't have the head size or body girth of the African I saw in the serengeti. The scale of the tooth is needed to determine whether it is a leopard or some other smaller feline species. Do you have the size of the tooth? Anything less than 6 cm shall be included as the leopard. RE: Leopard Tooth? - jbanneheka - 03-09-2018 Hi @GrizzlyClaws Yes The tooth is 6cm. Maybe it could be a lower canine tooth of a leopard. |
