RE: Avoca male lions - WildLeonis - 03-21-2022 (03-21-2022, 04:27 PM)Hairy tummy Wrote: Dm is a very peculiar lion, seems very layed back DM has definitely kept things interesting that’s for sure with his movements and resilience. Doesn’t seem to care much for fighting other lions either. Don’t know if that’s due to his injured foot or if he’s always been one to avoid fights. But he will not hesitate to get aggressive with a Hyena or Leopard or a baby Elephant. Lol. Has always preferred to be on his own than with his brothers. Even before the foot injury, when the Avocas first arrived on Djuma he was often seen on his own and away from his brothers. He’s definitely has some unique ways. Anyway, he’s not looking like he just ate a Buffalo, but he’s not looking like he’s about to starve to death either. He appears to be surviving okay on his own, thus far, which is good to see. RE: Avoca male lions - WildLeonis - 03-23-2022 Nkuhumas and cubs with Mohawk and Blonde following, yesterday on WE. Every time I see Mohawk I am wowed at how impressive he’s become and continues to be. Side note: It doesn’t look like Purple Eye is with the group. I wonder where she might be? RE: Avoca male lions - criollo2mil - 03-23-2022 Dark Mane still in enemy territory https://www.facebook.com/172216262826033/posts/4924808097566802/?d=n RE: Avoca male lions - Tr1x24 - 03-23-2022 (03-23-2022, 07:03 PM)WildLeonis Wrote: Side note: It doesn’t look like Purple Eye is with the group. Between the Nkuhumas and Talamatis there seems to be at least three separate groups from each pride that’s broken away. It’s hard to keep up with who is with whom sometimes. Yea, Nkuhumas are split in 3 gruops now: Purple Eyes, Chela with subadults, 3 younger Nkuhumas with cubs, these 2 still visit each others and are on the same territory. Then Ridge Nose and Amber Eyes are in Singita and have cubs of Plains Camp males, these 2 pretty much completely and forever split. Talamatis are in 2 gruop, 2/3 females with Imbali male, 1/2 female with subadults and Silver Eyes is on her own. Kambulas are real mess, they are split in 4-5 gruops.. RE: Avoca male lions - Potato - 03-24-2022 While searching for African Black Ducks, we found the tracks of a pride of lions leading towards where we left a male lion last night. After a long tracking exercise, we were rewarded with a sighting of the pride and male lion together. There was a lot of tension between the females and the male to the extent that the male moved off a considerable distance away from the rest of the pride. The females kept following him with unpleasant growling as they got closer. *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author

Gore’s injured and he doesnt like fighting so he probably wont be a threat to DM. This was already shown when DM beat him on a kill |
