Blondie is stunning, one of the most beautiful lions out there, and his limp on recent videos seems to be gone completly.

RE: Avoca male lions - Tr1x24 - 12-04-2019

N. Avocas are starting to became a massive lions, they are entering their prime at 6 and a half yrs old, everyone is talking about DM, but holy moly Blondie recently has turned into a massive beast, Mohawk is a bit smaller, but the most agressive out of 3,always in the middle of every fight, he reminds me of mr T,  not just because of his mane, but because of his character, hes certaintly more dominant then Blondie.

RE: Avoca male lions - Potato - 12-04-2019

I think Blondie is more dominant one. As far as I remember he did more significantly more matings at takeover time. Also somewhere I seen tham batteling over impala kill stolen from leopard when Blondie dominated Mohawk. Avocas are not really aggresive. It is shown how tolerant they were in time of takeover. They even tolerated unrelated to them males. Now just compare it to the takeovers made by Mapogos, Majingilanes or Birmingham Boys.

Yeah Blondie is becoming a beast like DM. Very stunning lion in my opinion. Mohawk is my fav, he is not big as his brothers but he is the soldier of the coalition.

Darkmane for me is the most dominant, Blondie is the second one and Mohawk at the bottom... but as you have said, that can change in any moment. But they have real strong brothers bond... esp Mohawk and Blondie.

I hard disagree on this one, what impala kill??
I never saw Blondie fight, never seen a scar on his face, Mohawk on another hand is fighting lionesses on every kill (you have few recent videos) Nkuhuma young male and Big Boy, Blondie never tried fight/chase those young males, Mohawk was doing that on his own.

Blondie is more of a lover boy,he mated more, one of the reasons for that are that Mohawk spent some time with DM and Talamati pride, Blondie was always in south with Nkuhumas, theres no report of any fight between them for mating rights, they have enough lionesses for both.

I never said that Avocas are agressive, i said that Mohawk is the most agressive of them, and showing signs to be more dominant then Blondie (showing dominance against lionesses and young males).

"I hard disagree on this one, what impala kill??"

The point is I tryed to find that video, but I couldn't find. Anyway they were taking leopard kill from a tree and when they got it on the ground Blondie atacked Mohawk and Mohawk turned on his back in submition.

"Mohawk was doing that on his own"

Avocas with Mohawk included tolerated young males within Nkuhuma pride for quite long time before they decided to force them out. That indicates somethink opposite to aggresion. Could you imagine for example Mr T in such situation just tolerating unrelated young male within his pride. Actually great most of dominant males would attack youngsters as soon as they see them. Mohawk showed a lot of passivity.

"theres no report of any fight between them for mating rights, they have enough lionesses for both"

That who do more matings is always strong indicator to who is more dominant one.

RE: Avoca male lions - Blondemane - 12-05-2019

Yes i have seen that video, Mohawk fall from the tree and Blondie beat him a little bit, funny sighting indeed. lol

I have seen blondie kinda agressive when mangheni young male approached to a kill, but one female distracted him and nothing bad happen.

I  have seen Darkmane doing the same thing that Mohawk have done, making all females going out of a kill and just letting mangheni male stayed there eating.

Yes, I saw 2 different videos, one of them taken last year and another this summer, both times Blondie dominant one. at male lions dominance between coalition members always changes.
