As for comparing them with Avocas, with the recently news of them chasing 6 males I think they're definitely stronger in a clash to see who chases who, but if Gijimas would hold their ground then idk, Avocas have more experience but are a bit out of their prime, while Gijimas are entering their own, both coalitions are bold and brave. Hopefully they won't clash, though Avocas would certainly prefer competition from 2 rather than the Nkhulus and DeLaporte.
@Mdz123 I'm not sure we can say Avocas have a stronger bond, these 2 Gijimas are probably brothers too.
If you look at the pictures of S Avoca from around a year ago, they both looked in stunning condition. Compare those to the present day pictures, clear to see they came off slightly. Even still, they look stronger than Gijimas. Why are Nkhulus wandering everywhere? May be likely because they don’t possess the confidence. But if they stay intact in the neighbouring areas for long enough, have to expect them to reappear again.(We had seen this played out btw Ndzhengas and Birminghams).

Their bond has probably grown stronger since they lost their 3rd brother. But still Avocas are way more experienced and know the area better.

"As the news spread that the six Nkuhlu males were back in the southern parts of the reserve, everyone was very excited to see what this meant for the lion dynamics on Sabi Sabi. As daybreak fell on a crisp morning, the roaring of lions echoed through the bush, and we found the Nkuhlu males, with the 2 Gijima males following not long after.
The dominant Gijima males chased the Nkuhlu males through the bush, making it clear that they were not welcome in their territory. It was a battle that lasted well over an hour as they were up and down just before the Gijimas finally succeeded in chasing them further southeast and out of their territory. The Gijima males will have a massive confidence boost after this brave encounter with six males invading their territory."

I always thought the Gijimas were underestimated, they are a very strong duo, IMO much more than the BDM for example, seeing them replicate the S.Avocas feat just solidifies this for me.
But seeing how the Nkhulus tried to hold their ground and it was difficult for Gijimas to chase them worries me, it means Nkhulus are very very close to become fully territorial, but this was to be expected.

Since they invaded in storm 4 Ndhzenga males more then year ago, we should learn by now that this 2 boys dont mess around and will face everything what comes their way.
Both Kambulas and Nkuhlus outnumber them heavly, but looks like neitheir of those are quite ready yet, so this time is crucial for Gijimas to send a powerful message, that they dont return here anymore.

I think there is a reason for that. When they first become territorial, one of the two males looked young. Now, nearly one and half year on, he is closer to his prime. The one that is pictured roaring at Nkhulus seems to be already in his prime.
Indeed this is worrying, Nkhulus are staying in the area for a while now. They could be just sizing the strength, checking the response and retreating for now.

These boys are currently in peak forms and in the beginning of their prime years. Only challenge to them in the whole S.S are the PC boys. If they decide to challenge the s.avocas i'd bet my money on them.
Hope these boys stay and raise at least a set of cubs to independent from their two prides (styx, southern) before trying to expand
