I think they should be able to oust Black Dam males, through I feel PC males will brutalise them if Kambulas will go on with their challange towards west insteed of north.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. So far they mostly took empty land.
Most likely they are hoping to lure lionesses over from there. Much like the PCmales have done with the Nkuhumas.
Which prides will take that bait will probably determine their next cource of action. Even those with cubs will likely do so, to avoid further conflict.

I agree that they probably wont take over the kambula pride itself. Though if their interested in their hunting grounds or want to return to be pampered as their young for a bit longer, they can just return there anyway.

@Potato

I won't lie, since they're not leaving SS I'd rather have the ousting BDM because BDM have the least to lose, and being young they can find success somewhere else.

But throughout the times I've learned to never underestimate the size with more numbers. If they were to challenge PCM, unfortunately I think Kambulas would win, ruin the progress of the Mangheni pride and inbred them even more.

PCM are very strong, no doubt, but Kambulas aren't timid 4yo nomads anymore, 3/4 of them are 5 already, the other one is around 4,5 and showing confidence. We can see a similar scenario when the Kambulas' grandfathers challenged the Kambulas' great-grandfathers. 2 Mapogo were strong, but at the end of the day, four 5yo Majingilanes were too much.

If Kambulas would ever take over the west, I hope it's at least after PCM raise all their current cubs to adulthood.

This male ( K4? ) has a much more developed mane than his brothers, almost full, IIRC his mane is even more developed than that of his older brothers from Kruger.

Great pictures of the four promising Kambula/Ntsevu male lions, their faces smeared with the blood of a massive buffalo they successfully brought down during the night at @singita_

Was looking at pictures of the Birmingham males the other day, trying to figure it out. I think KM3 & KM6 are Nsuku's sons, and KM4 is Nhena's. Not sure about the others.

Will hyena survive? Looks injured quite a bit, although hyenas are tough.

I guess if she didnt bleed out she will be ok.
