She's a Cape leopard by the way. Not sure where Blaze originates from. Based on his coat colour I'd say North America.

She's a Cape leopard by the way. Not sure where Blaze originates from. Based on his coat colour I'd say North America.
Yeah I agree, looks like a North American puma, though it is hard to tell with captive individuals. I’d say they look similar in size because they’re both young, male leopards/pumas seem to only gain their impressive large upper body builds at 4-5 years, but even then blaze is way longer, it’s just hard to tell because of the angle

I know male leopards can be stubborn or overconfident to the point where they provoke lions or try to reclaim a kill from lions. However, in this case there's a chance that the tigress is taking the kill to cubs and the law of nature says you don't mess with a mother, let alone one that's bigger than you.
