I'm wondering which is much larger, is it Central Indian male tigers like Uma and Waghdoh or Northern Indian male tigers like those from Assam or Uttarakhand? I think in terms of skull size, the Northern Indian tigers easily take the crown because most Central Indian male tigers while they're large they have smaller head compared to the rest of their body.

Tigers come in different sizes even just in different reserves throughout C. India but if you were to pick the largest of C. India then you'd pick kanha males and one of the largest in Kanha atm is Umarpani, one of the few photographers who have seen Umarpani and Gulrighat Male from Dudhwa didnt say which was larger between them but did infer that Kanha may not have the largest Tigers overall, you then have measurements of skull and body size which back the idea of Tigers from the north being larger overall but with the naked eye those measurements didnt seem extraordinary enough to tell major differences. That being said, I'd definitely wager on Terai Tigers being larger but who knows by how much. I've spoken to people who claim 300+kg Tigers have been weighed there and they are very qualified to make that claim so it's something interesting to think about.

Chota Matka, he is definitely taller and longer than Matkasur.

At this rate, Matkasur better make a move. I know it isn’t the same mentality when taking on your own son. i hope they find a way and maybe Chota Matka settles down. same with the Shivanzari sub adult. i heard he has been limping badly, either V7, Kankajhari or Matkasur got him. the male activity is an all time high, less space means more fights. fingers crossed.

i'd be surprised if he actually tried to kill them..i mean they have his father's scent after all..though if he really felt like it,he could b line straight for the kill and maya won't be able to stop him

Right now he and his father are still crossing paths often and it sounds like Matkasur is still the dominate Tiger. Last I heard CM had made a kill and was trying to hide it from Matkasur and Matkasur was tracking the kill down while CM could only sit back and hope he didnt find it.

Young males are very unpredictable and judging by his movements, he seems unsure about what he wants. either way, Maya saw him as a threat and taught him a good lesson to stay away from her kids. also this has been happening more frequently now. It’s time for Matkasur to step up and escort him out. I understand, male tigers would go any distance to ensure that they don’t harm one of their own so Matkasur is probably not that driven towards kicking him out. it’s about time now though. Chota Matka is going to grow significantly from this point on and if he is not stopped now, he will be a big problem.
