RE: The Leopard (Panthera pardus) - Ngala - 11-02-2016

This huge male is called Watsakile. Most probably he is the biggest male leopard of Balule and Klaserie (and perhaps of Timbavati). He is the father of the great Chavaluthu.

These photos is respectively of July 2010, April 2013 and September 2014, but he is still alive.

This is a case of leopard that has failed his attack on baboon, or the leopard flees from baboon which is going up on the tree?

He looks like he's making a killing leap in the first photo, his paws appear to be in grasping angle. I guess he missed and the baboon turned the tables on him.
