An incredible sighting of a female Puma we had, during this tour we saw 2 Pumas, Tapirs and an amazing Jaguar sighting.

We take our travellers to remote parts of Bolivia where we have had incredible success of seeing rare and wonderful animals.

Money raised though our tours goes directly to development of projects which reduce and stop Jagaurs and Pumas being killed by Ranchers

Amazing footage of a puma chasing a guanaco Notice how similar the chase of the puma is to a cheetah no wonder some scientists claim cheetahs could be closely related to cougars

i feel certain races(subspecies) are more morphologically gracile and small ,in contrast to leopards where even the smallest subspecies have a built similar to the bigger subspecies

The creature onza could have been a puma with unusually long legs

The Cat Specialist Group, a of 2017, isn't sure about which cougar subspecies inhabits northwest South America (Pages 3233): https://repository.si.edu/bitstream/handle/10088/32616/A_revised_Felidae_Taxonomy_CatNews.pdf?sequence=1&isAllowed=y

"A more recent study of mtDNA in pumas from throughout their range, although with lower sample sizes, supports only two main geographical groupings with North American populations having colonised since c. 8,000 years b.p. (Caragiulo et al. 2014). On this basis, we tentatively recognise two subspecies within Puma concolor:

Puma concolor concolor (Linnaeus, 1771). Distribution: South America, possibly excluding W of Andes in north.
Puma concolor couguar (Kerr, 1792). Distribution: North and Central America, possibly N South America W of Andes."

Look at the size of this 160-pound North American cougar (Puma concolor couguar?) at Colorado. The bowhunter was fortunate that she managed to kill it before it could have gotten her: https://coloradooutdoorsmag.com/2014/03/06/to-catch-a-cougar-a-bowhunters-search-for-a-colorado-mountain-lion/
