At time it was also in Guinness Book of Records as the largest lion in the world, shoulder height was 111 cm. So it is assumed, that maybe it has been weighed also by people of Guinness, but that is just assumption. I was told, that history of Simba is actually very sketchy.

Staff from zoo of Colchester, where Simba and Nyoka visited 1970 said, that Simba was clearly obese. I got also a link to rare, but quite good quality video footage, where it can be clearly seen. That belly swinging there sideways looks like to have some fat inside. Simba can be seen from 2:18 forward.

He's definitely obese but a huge cat none the less. In the wild he'd still be a 270kg+ cat with his dimensions. IMO

Yes it is a big one. Even if 50 kg off it might look pretty fit. I haven´t looked so closely that how good origin of it is known, so I put here a short quote from message, which I got:

"Nick travelled around zoos and circus’s displaying some of his animals.  In 1970, Nick bought some of his animals to Colchester zoo to display, his famous lion Simba was one of them.  At that time Nick claimed Simba was the largest captive lion in the world, which he had caught on the Serengeti Plain in 1959."

It was nice to get reply from zoo and learn what they knew and could tell. As I said, for me around 300 kg lion in wild isn´t something what I would call impossible at all. But if clearly heavier, then the more claimed weight, the more doubts start to be in mind.

Yea the weight was alleged. We have the shoulder heights of Simba and he is not that big after all:

If you look earlier discussion concerning Simba which you quote, there were mentioned shoulder height already and also, that weight was alleged. So what is your point now, I don´t quite get it now?

Nick Nyoka was the one who claimed to the world that his lion he has is the record lion.

Any cat exceeding 110 cm in standing height is a giant. Simba was a giant.

Well actually I am wrong, because when looking at graphs of shoulder heights relative to weight, there is no consistency between the two. A lion can be very tall and not weigh a lot or be very short but be very heavy, etc..

You repeat now things from earlier discussion concerning Simba. I asked, that do you have some point in doing that repeating, do you want to say something concerning Simba? You haven´t brought anything new on the table now, when you quoted old discussion. You want just to repeat what was said earlier or what? Usually when quoting some older discussion people have something new to say and they make it clear. So can you tell what you try to say now with this repeating, what was said before?

The blonde-maned lion of this video seems to be very strongly built. Let us forget the title and the numerous OMG, and let us look at it.
