@Brahim I assume these are 2/4 "Young" Mazithis:

Apperantly they have troubles with Southern Swenis further north, so they are pushed south.

RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Potato - 12-27-2024

Young Males from the Leeupan lion pride roaring in Mazithi lion pride Territory- Kruger National Park South Africa Five young males and a young lioness from the Leeupan lion pride fathered by the two Fourways males and Torchwood male are currently on their nomadic journey trying to establish a territory of their own.

Currently they find themselves in the territory of the Mazithi pride who was also ruled by their fathers for the last few years.

While the Torchwood male disappeared about a year ago the two Fourways males are still seen regularly. Unfortunately they don’t spend much time with the Mazithi pride which has allowed the old Mazithi male to stick with the Mazithi pride depsite not fathering any of the current sub adults in the pride.

This promising coalition from the Leeupan pride have been spending a lot of time in the Mazithi pride territory recently, while it will be difficult to take over the Mazithi pride now it will be interesting to see what happens over the next few months as they search for a territory of their own.

They seem very confident vocalising in a territory that doesn’t belong to them, there was some distance roars from lion’s across the the riverbed which they continuously answered back to.

These Leeupan boys are still too young to claim a territory tho.

They need to be careful, Mazithi pride is big pride with few big young males, they gave a beating to nomadic male recently.

Yes, some.

Leeupans should be older, but Mazithi pride have some big young males, who are prob from older generation.

RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Potato - 12-28-2024

About a year ago, the Southern Pride male lions, who previously dominated the area south of Satara Rest Camp along the H6 road in Kruger National Park, expanded their territory. They moved north and took control of the Nwanetsi Pride near Shibotwana on the S100. This pride, consisting of two young lionesses and some older, weaker females, was unable to resist, making the takeover straightforward for the coalition.

Recently, some of the seven Southern Pride males have been observed further north along the S41 road, entering the territory of the Mananga Pride. These males have been seen mating with the Mananga lionesses, indicating their intention to extend their influence into this area as well.

Cant remember how many there where.

3 Sweni Pride males apperantly moved further east from Sweni area, they either expanded or got pushed by Mayambulas, but i didnt see sighting of them in ages.

RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Mapokser - 12-28-2024

Anyone knows about a suppose attack on the territory of the Imbali males? ( 2 S8 Imbali sons + Wonky Eye ), and their Hamilton pride. Supposedly it happened some 10 days ago and 1 or 2 Hamilton lionesses were killed.

Word that 2 males were the culprits. A guide apparently guessed Kambulas ( though it's obviously not them ). Apparently it happened around S125, close to S126 ( which is Mayambula territory ).

2 of the Imbali/Wonky Eye coalition were seen together after that.

Few days ago 3 Mayambula with Sweni pride were seen on S125 close to Satara, 17 lions in total.

But maybe could it be 2 Shishagaan males, or those 2 males pressuring the Shish a while ago? Although the Imbali males are fierce ( I remember the 2 young S8 sons chasing Kruger male from the ImbaIi pride ), now they have cubs, are dominant for a while, so I'm surprised with the supposed news.
