Perhaps they went to a place where theres not many if any public roads

Exactly, there is a lot of these areas in Kruger. But, if anyone could find pics of them, my money would be on our friend @Ahmed Ali. He must be scouring the farthest reach of the web, for the pics he comes up with.

So, Satara/H6 males are named Sonop males (atleast 3-4 who split and moved north):

I think it must have been for almost 1,5 year. As i remember, i asked my question here about their status sometime one year ago at this time - and it was the last time from me - and even then there were no news about them for months at the time...

What a shame for these beautiful guys..they were one of my favourites with their very impressive special manes... Especially, if - as you said - they also became the victims of poaching incidents. And as i think, it simply could be the subject, because 3 (4) big heathy vigorous and powerful males at the beginning of their prime don't/canNOT (just) disappear at the same time, from one moment to the next. So this could just be another tragedy...

1/3 Imbali males. Author says 2 Imbali males chased the 2 Nkuhuma boys. (so it was a mistake by the previous author when say 3 chasing 1)

So it was indeed NKs.

2 NK are trying to carve out western part of Imbalis territory (between Imbalis and Nkhulus), more experience Imbalis will prob not allow that easily.
