RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Tr1x24 - 10-17-2024 (10-16-2024, 11:54 PM)Brahim Wrote: The 2 Eldest Kambula males seen today on the H1-1. Their partner Darkmane Pretoriuskop has also been seen lately. Them being around Pertoriuskop and Shitlave Dam means that Phabenis are gone? Any word what happened to Phabenis? I could be wrong, but my understanding is that H11 and H1-1 are the same road. But, it is a long road from the map I saw, meaning the Gijimas may be miles away. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Mapokser - 10-17-2024 I'd be willing to bet the Kambulas ousted the Phabeni. H1-1 is further south, long road from Pretoriuskop to H3 road, connecting with H3 ~ half way from Skukuza to Jock. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Tr1x24 - 10-17-2024 (10-17-2024, 02:23 AM)Mapokser Wrote: I'd be willing to bet the Kambulas ousted the Phabeni. Well Phabenis where split, Blondie and 3rd male where around Nyamundwa Dam, while 2 twins where around Shitlave - Pretoriuskop, further south. It might be that Kambulas ousted Blondie and 3rd male last year around Nyamundwa, as they become territorial there. But recently @Brahim said that only 1 Phabeni is still seen (i guess 1 of twins) and now Kambulas are seen further south around twins territory. So idk what happened exactly with Phabenis, without further info, we can just guess. Unfortunatley this area is also known for poaching, and these guys where impressive males (not saying that was the case). Can remember when was the last sighting of them together. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Ttimemarti - 10-19-2024 Yeah I thought it was the same road until a friend pointed it out on a better map lol RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Mwk85 - 10-20-2024 RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - MrLoesoe - 10-20-2024 (10-20-2024, 05:10 AM)Mwk85 Wrote: Interesting. I wonder where in Manyeleti.. I am not familiar with these males but if they're looking for new females and a pride to build, the Mbiri pride is basically up for grabs. Male lions are son of the Birmingham male lion and Avoca male lion. Well hopefully not there is cubs sub adult in the Mibiri pride? There is also a young male lion son of Jr.Nukhuma hopefully he is ok.(10-20-2024, 05:10 AM)Mwk85 Wrote: RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Mwk85 - 10-20-2024 (10-20-2024, 11:57 AM)MrLoesoe Wrote:(10-20-2024, 05:10 AM)Mwk85 Wrote: Read elsewhere that they were in the northern part of Manyeleti, at or around Skybed Dam. I'm not very familiar with the area as a whole so not sure which pride/prides reside in the North. Photos By :- Robin Kruger RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Robot00 - 10-23-2024 How is everyone able to find these coalitions from the KNP back in the days but no one seems to know where Othawa M/T disappeared to? I thought there's a lot of lodges in the south of KNP? Those guides must know something about Othawa M/T RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Rui Ferreira - 10-23-2024 (10-23-2024, 05:36 PM)Robot00 Wrote: How is everyone able to find these coalitions from the KNP back in the days but no one seems to know where Othawa M/T disappeared to?
