Where are Tinstwalo boys now? This is the first time I see them after I came back RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - adamstocks16 - 06-19-2024 @Mdz123 Lambile passed away late last year then Mandevu & Ncila abandoned Mbiri Pride and moved into Kruger. They are now dominant over Skorro Pride. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Potato - 06-22-2024 It's fascinating to hear about the dynamics and changes within the Sweni Lion Pride and the impact of the Mayambula male lions. The observation of the lionesses and young males from the mega Sweni Pride suggests a healthy continuity of the pride despite the significant territorial shifts and leadership changes. The fact that the Mayambula males took over a splinter group of the Sweni pride and then moved westward indicates a strategic expansion and a potential consolidation of their territory. The absence of the three original Sweni pride males adds a layer of mystery to the story, but the emergence of a new generation of Sweni males in good health is indeed a positive sign for the pride's future. Lions are known for their complex social structures and territorial behaviors, and this narrative reflects those intricate dynamics. The stability and health of the new generation could hint at successful adaptation and resilience within the pride. It's a reminder of the ever-changing and captivating nature of wildlife behavior and the importance of ongoing observation and study. Yes, Ncile and Mandevu have taken over the natal pride of their own sire, Skorro Thandi Impi. While still a bit of inbreeding for sure, it's not on par with the inbreeding that was happening with the Mbiris, their own natal pride. Their half-bro, the Tumbela Male, is not so lucky....as he was paired with weaker partners. Maybe at least 2/3, if not all 3, can finally expand the direct bloodline of their sire. Any news about cubs from the Skorro Pride? Or is it early days yet? RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - BA0701 - 06-26-2024 I am sharing this post for you, to avoid issues with the rule on double posting. I would ask, if you wish to do this in the future, please feel free to contact one of the Mods, and if deemed appropriate, I am sure we can get it shared in a second thread. I understand why you did it, with not being sure if it is him, but we do have that rule. Thanks! Posting this for @Ngonya (Nkhulu Males - #489) "He had chosen his last resting place" by @jimballleza Could this deteriorated warrior in his last moments be the long missing Dreadlocks DeLaporte/Nkhulu? *This image is copyright of its original author It looks like his mane in previous months before he went missing... Still trying to get confirmation if the male died or the poster was exaggerating. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Tr1x24 - 06-27-2024 Looks like 7 Satara males split for good, as these 4 moved north and are now on s90, while 3 stayed around former territory on H6: Even when they where all in former area on H6, they where not seen together for a while, so they prob operated as 2 coaltions for quite some time already. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Tr1x24 - 07-02-2024 Sons of Fourways/Torchwood coalition from Leeupan pride, near Tshokwane: I think these 2 are the ones seen not long ago around Rhino Post, when someone asked here who those young males are. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - BA0701 - 07-02-2024 The phrase I have no words, is often used in such situations, I have plenty of words, but none that are suitable for this platform. A lifetime ban, wtf? How about some serious jail time, how about locking that guy and his girl in an enclosure with this male? All this lion, who I am unsure who he is, wanted to do was create space between himself and the trash that was pursuing him. They're lucky that lion didn't feel more threatened as he might have turned round and attack them. |
