Monwana males are rather new dominant coalition in the area, so this is prob only establishing territorial border between 2 coalitions as @Potato said..

The Nharhu male.
The Slitnose one seems to be the one who lead the chasing with other lions.
He do the same with the Mbiri and the other day the same on Kambaku Lodges, Could be he the dominant?

Did the Nharhu males take-over their natal pride, the river pride?

I think they're dominating the pride where their aunts are on.

Apparently they are from the Dundee Pride and the River Pride of Klaserie. Is there a direct link between the Klaserie River Pride and the Timbavati River Pride?

I think there are too many River Prides, with the Sand River Pride, Laserie River Pride, Timbavati River Pride, and I have recently seen mention of a plain River Pride. Whew, for a novice like myself it certainly doesn't help when trying to learn who all of the players in this huge drama are. Sort of like the first time you read the Lord of The Rings books, with the similar sounding names Sauron and Saruman  :)

It seems so. I did not notice his post when I was posting mine.

All the River Pride who now are in Timbavati originally comes from the River Pride and Dundee pride in Klaserie, all are breakaways

Timbavati River Pride doesn't exist.
But the River Pride in Timbavati are a breakaway of the River Prides in Klaserie as the Dundee pride too

I wonder if it is in the end indeed just settling borders with Monwanas or Nharhus smelled Giraffe females in oestrus and are willing to compete for that arena and pride with Monwanas. That would be true test for Monwanas and we would see what those boys are capable of.
