It would be interesting to find some study where same group of scientists would be doing a lot of testing with different animals. Maybe I have missed some study(?), but even in researchgate was one comparison, where it looked like to be a different source for every different animal :) Here for instance two links and as it can be seen, some similarities, but then again a lot of differences. Btw one animal, which haven´t been tested and might be "the one" is orca, what comes to extant predators. But what comes to lions, tigers and hyenas for instance, these links provide quite different kind of information. One thing is sure of course, all of them can bite strong enough to kill prey and break bones. https://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2012/03/120315-crocodiles-bite-force-erickson-science-plos-one-strongest/ http://www.academia.edu/239888/Bite_forces_and_evolutionary_adaptations_to_feeding_ecology_in_carnivores_Ecology_ RE: Spotted Hyena (Crocuta crocuta) - epaiva - 03-24-2019 Spotted hyena (Crocuta crocuta) skeleton Credit to @road_kill_skeletons ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author

I didn´t see any mention about it, that it would have died even though it was attacked. Also in those photos in next posting I didn´t see any serious injury. Is there some source with more information maybe? Interesting case and it would be nice to know. It would be interesting to know a bit more about this case if possible. I haven´t had time to look closer for additional information about this. I would like to know, that how they killed that rhino if they really did it. There was nothing more in that link at least. RE: Spotted Hyena (Crocuta crocuta) - Shadow - 07-07-2019 This is one case, where hyenas manage to drown a rhino. Rhino was injured already before hyenas attacked. Still quite fascinating case.
