The Orpen males RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tonpa - 06-07-2021 RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tonpa - 06-08-2021 Not sure where to post this one so I'll ask here I was reading old facebook posts from Hamiltons tented camp, and they posted a picture of the Talamati silver eye in November 2012 and mention she was with 3 cubs. In the comments they mention these cubs were sired by a lion called Stompie, any idea who this is? Edit : Just found this from their ranger diaries from October 2012, apparently a matimba male? *This image is copyright of its original author

RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Cunaguaro - 06-11-2021 The young Birmingham male - as he’s growing up starting to look more like his father. It’s absolutely mind blowing how resilient these animals are and what they are able to bounce back from. In a perfect world he would’ve left his natal pride about two years back but rather decided to stay. Hanging on for as long as he possibly can he’s received a lot of bites, scratches and beatings from not only the Ross males but other males territorial to Ngala’s western and eastern parts - that’s just the life of a male lion. We don’t know if he’ll join the subadults of the Birmingham pride and become part of that coalition, maybe he wanders off, confident enough in his own ability and takes over a territory in couple of years like his older brother, the red road male, did. The future is uncertain but for now he’s looking strong, and getting bigger by the day. RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tonpa - 06-14-2021 Update from Tintswalo, the female from the last video was a female from a pride in the kruger, which has 3 females and 1 male. Do they have a name? RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Hairy tummy - 06-14-2021 Red road is a beast RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tr1x24 - 06-14-2021 (06-14-2021, 06:49 PM)Tonpa Wrote: Update from Tintswalo, the female from the last video was a female from a pride in the kruger, which has 3 females and 1 male.
