Now, please, may we return to discussing these beautiful creatures, the things that unite us, instead of our differences, and the things that may divide us.

BAO, as usual I may add, is right in all respects. May sound strange for a site quickly approaching 40 million views (!), but there's no money in it. If it's money you're after, better start writing about something else.  

Millions of views and no money? And what about the ads then? Well, they enable us to pay the bills and adapt to new conditions. We considered adding a pay-per-view section in order to improve the quality, but we've been considering it for years. Meaning there's no real drive there. Also meaning we're in it for something else.  

The amount of views in 7 years only is admittedly staggering. Most views are from visitors interested in lions. The lion section always was the best. One reason is lions are fascinating animals. Another is we have a lot of members posting good information. Last but not least, we have 3 great mods (Lycaon, BAO and Timbavati). Our guess is our former, and best ever, lion mod 'Tshokwane' would agree Wildfact, as a result of the efforts of all of you, has developed into one of the best lion sites. 

Every time our members post about lions, they're inviting our readers to visit the natural world. Many thousands of them use this opportunity every day. And most of them come back, because they want to know more.   

In the end, the quality of a site is determined by it's members. They're the ones who post information about a hidden world quickly disappearing right in front of our eyes. By posting good information about those making their home in that world, they contribute to a new outlook. One desperately needed, as we're heading in the wrong direction. Something needs to change and a forum about the natural world could be just as effective as a newspaper article or a documentary. In a way, Wildfact compares to an online magazine. Not one published once a month, but one updated every day by dozens of well-informed and able reporters. 

We hope all of you will continue to inform us about lions for a long time to come,
