Thats overexaggeration..

Yes, few Kambulas where mating with neigbouring males (mostly infertile lioness), but they are still very much loyal to Bboys and will be even more when they start giving birth to cubs, they wont welcome Avocas with small cubs near them, they will seek protection, thats for sure..

You nailed it again, saying that the Birmingham males are losing their territory and pride is an over exaggerated fact. We've seen clearly the Ntsevu females together with the Birmingham males numerous times, only the cubless lioness is doing havoc with the lion dynamics of Londolozi and MM. Recently, Londolozi posted information on IG that one of the lionesses with fresh suckle marks, so, new cubs have born within pride.

I don't know why people blame infertile lioness for everything. Mala Mala’s recent live video and reports have stated that the Avocas have been seen with multiple lionesses. Not just her.

The infertile lioness has never invited any male into her territory… she always goes to her border to find males so she's not really causing much drama.

“only the cubless lioness is doing havoc with the lion dynamics “ <<< We know full well it’s males who are driven by their desire for females and territory who are causing havoc. Just like the BBoys caused much havoc when they were on their path of conquest.

This is just the way of lion society. And infertile lioness really isn’t the cause of any of this.

RE: Avoca male lions - Duco Ndona - 05-13-2021

I think Lionesses in general aren't really that loyal to begin with when they are in heat.
They more or less mate with every suitable male present, outsider or not, to increase their chances. So if the dominant males are not available. They will just seek out the neighbours.
Seeing how fragmented that pride is, the Birmingham Males probably just aren't able to be present at each lioness at the right time. So its not that surprising some are mating with the Avocas.

However as long they aren't being cut off like Hairy Belly was I don't think it means that they are abandoning the Birmingham's.
They will stick with the dominant coalition once the emotions subside and so far they are not spending time with the Avocas outside of mating.

This whole thing reminds me how people were convinced a while back that the pride was roaring for the othawa male to come over.
While we now know how that ended.

The problem with many of these replies is no one on this forum actually said any of that. You’re talking about a caption of a video that none of us agreed with. But people on this forum blaming the infertile lioness happens all the time. It’s probably better to respond to what people here are saying vs just talking about stuff you read and hear from people elsewhere. I’m not even sure who this was in reply to any more or who these “people” are. Anyways I’m done discussing this, but just probably helpful for future conversations.

Dark mane on Djuma with a limp on his right foreleg.

RE: Avoca male lions - Tr1x24 - 05-14-2021

He walked much better this morning, at 13:00 :

I think guides explained this once, that he limps more when he just starts walking, after sleeping /lying etc., and less when he walls for some time, as leg gets on "working temperature".. And prob also depends how much he loads the leg, from running, hunting, fighting etc..

Same goes for Blondie..

RE: Avoca male lions - sik94 - 05-14-2021

If he walked into Bboys territory with his 2 brothers, Bboys would probably just vacate that territory. Such an impressive male.
