The video of her, after the attack by the Birminghams is one of those that just sticks with me, horrible stuff, absolutely heartbreaking. And beforr Ximgungwes were coexisting with Sand River pride. Both prides were hit hard during the Mapogo era and conflicts were already occurring during the Selati era. So I wouldn't say they were coexisting. RE: Othawa Pride - Ttimemarti - 05-30-2024 From what I’ve learned when Mr T died the othawa pride was all mapogo 3 girls 2 boys the last older female died by a snare and the ximhungwe pride was still a pretty big pride other than the one female that was also killed by a snare but they lost members fast RE: Othawa Pride - Mwk85 - 06-08-2024 RE: Othawa Pride - T_Ferguson - 06-23-2024 The girls are still going. They have to be nearing estrus don't they? I worry about them so much with the Ximungs moving down into the area they've been hiding in for so long. I hope it doesn't lead to another incident, injury, and separation... RE: Othawa Pride - Tr1x24 - 06-23-2024 (06-23-2024, 05:22 PM)T_Ferguson Wrote: They have to be nearing estrus don't they? Thats hard to predict, some females came to estrus even before 3 yrs, some quite later, even after 5. RE: Othawa Pride - Mwk85 - 07-08-2024 Post is from four days ago so I'm guessing the sighting took place within the past week or so. RE: Othawa Pride - criollo2mil - 07-13-2024 Othowas having (yet another) dispute w a group of hyena Photos Cf by Mariela Castillo RE: Othawa Pride - T_Ferguson - 07-15-2024 No No No No No... boys.. leave them be please. I guess they could be in Estrus, but otherwise.. go away boys. RE: Othawa Pride - Vengeous - 07-15-2024 I am convinced the PCMs are hoping to mate with them. If you visit Savanna Private Game Reserve's Instagram page, one of the videos shows both PCMs interacting with an Othawa lioness, she lashes out at them but they don't attack her back. I suspect they're in estrus. I'd attach the video but it's an Instagram story and frankly I'm not sure how to embed videos. I am sure there are a lot of folks who would like to see this. As for posting videos and pictures, we have a tutorial page, located here: https://wildfact.com/forum/forum-tips-guides-tutorial-technical-problem RE: Othawa Pride - criollo2mil - 07-15-2024 Two PCMs in a tense exchange w 1/2 Othowas. I will upload the video once I am at a computer RE: Othawa Pride - Mapokser - 07-15-2024 Now would be the perfect time for them to go into estrus, but at 3 years and 3 months old they're probably not there yet. Southern subs entered estrus way before that tho so who knows. RE: Othawa Pride - T_Ferguson - 07-15-2024 Oh no... I so hope they don't hurt them. That would be crushing at this point... |
