RE: The Tumbela Coalition - criollo2mil - 11-05-2022 “ Waking up the Tumbela Male” RE: The Tumbela Coalition - criollo2mil - 11-08-2022 HThe Tumbela male makes off with an impala kill. We suspect he scavenged it from a Leopard. #lion #inyatisafari #inyatimoments #bigcats #lionsightings #roar #lionroar #Südafrika Credit: Inyati RE: The Tumbela Coalition - criollo2mil - 11-08-2022 Short scene of Skorro Jr w the two Ximunghwe lionesses @ :10 RE: The Tumbela Coalition - Tr1x24 - 11-10-2022 (11-04-2022, 01:06 AM)Duco Ndona Wrote: He has been showing mixed signs of being territorial for a while now. In fact, this video was kind of expected to pop up sooner or later. Nhenha and NK where seen with Ximhungwe/Gingerella this morning, and PC males also in the area. He is showing those mixed signs of being territorial when he is sure that Nhenha/NK and PC males are not in town and its his turn for Ximunghwes, as soon as these 2 return, he is out. RE: The Tumbela Coalition - Duco Ndona - 11-10-2022 Well. There is a difference between feeling and behaving territorial and lasting the full 3 years to be successful. I think nobody is expecting Skorro to last. I fear this whole taking turns in takeovers is going to be the dynamic for a while. Which may very well be a death sentence to the Ximhungwe and Othawa pride. RE: The Tumbela Coalition - NLAL11 - 11-16-2022 I've been thinking about this a lot over the last few weeks and I think the Tumbelas are just as much to 'blame' for the downfall of the Othawa Pride. If they had never arrived in the West, then Gingerella and the other subs would have stayed. Then by the time the PC Males arrived, Hairy Belly would probably have passed on, the male subs would have been evicted from the pride at a much more capable age, and Sassy, Aunty, Junior's mother and then Gingerella would have mated with either the PC Males or Nhena and the Nkuhuma Male. I wasn't a fan of the Tumbela males when they first arrived, I was apprehensive about the Othawas mating with such a sickly and weak coalition. However, they grew on me. But now I wish Skorro would just leave before he does any more damage. I hope his daughters make it though. "If if".. You cant look things like that. Lion takeovers are normal thing, every coalition eventualy gets beat and overthrown, in which most of the time, prides they control, suffer, especially if they have cubs/subs who are still not independent. Tumbelas where doing what males do, its not their fault that Othawa pride was weak in numbers and couldnt grow their numbers for whole decade.. They are also not to blame that Gingerella was only female out of 4 subs of that 2018 Othawa generation, arent they? Or that Matimbas where too old and couldnt secure time for Gingerella to stay with pride? Thats how it is, and we need to accept it. If you look like that, then we can actually go back and also blame Majingilanes and Selatis, Majingilanes killed all Selatis offspring when they takeover (there where 8 cubs/subs at 1 point sired by Selatis), if they didn't beat Selatis, Othawas would be much bigger pride today. You see the pattern? You can then blame every coalitions which was involved in Othawas history, and not only Tumbelas. RE: The Tumbela Coalition - Duco Ndona - 11-17-2022 The Nwaswitshakas got horny and somehow it became everybody problem.. But ultimately the pride and Tumbellas fell victim to circumstances well beyond their control. One cant really blame them. Nor the other lions involved. Yes, I understand, hence why I put 'blame' in air marks. I don't actually blame the any of the lions for following their instinctive biological drive. And I get that luck and fate play a big role in the wild. Just pointing out how that seemingly small and regular moment led to the unfortunate place the Othawa pride now finds itself in. And also venting my thoughts. RE: The Tumbela Coalition - criollo2mil - 11-22-2022 Skorro Jr in several slides. Also 1/3 of his Othowa daughters. Wonder how far apart they are. Also how would they Interact if they come accross each other hmm. RE: The Tumbela Coalition - Duco Ndona - 11-22-2022 They have been avoiding each other for months now. I think the only interaction they so far had was when he chased them with the ximhungwes. So, it probably won't be a happy reunion. The subs will probably flee and Skorro would steal whatever meal they had at the time.
