RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Tr1x24 - 04-21-2023

K4 is the strongest and biggest of these 3 (alongside missing K3) , you can see him first jumping on NK and then fighting him head to head while other 2 bite from behind, but we can see power of NK male here where he managed to pin down K4 male even with 1 male on his back, which allowed him to turn and push back biting K5 male, which ended the fight and save him from further damage.

I guess NK was lucky that Gijimas injured K3 , if K3 was also here and healthy, damage would be much worse, for lone nomad, maybe even fatal.

Pay attention to their sister, she is so funny just watching and looking bored:

RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Mapokser - 04-22-2023

NK was very lucky ( Kambulas aren't territorial and everything ) but still his defense was amazing, especially for a 1v4.

I've said this before but he is a great fighter and by far the most experient lion in the SS in terms of facing other rivals.

He has fought PCM 2 or 3 times, Tumbela twice, got that fight up north where we thought he may have lost his eye and now this.

As for the Kambula I wish they have had this confidence against Gijimas instead of abandoning one of their brothers to die.

It was 2v5, they shouldn't have lost that, being nomads or not.

And for the Western Sector as a whole, things look ugly, I was hoping things would stabilize after Nhenha's death ( and it did a bit ), but now we got Talamatis and Kambulas. Othawas will be in huge trouble, and even NK Breakaway and Ximhungwes are threatened too.

RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Mapokser - 04-22-2023

@Tr1x24 Kambulas aren't ready purely from a psychological point of view, numbers are everything, a small size disadvantage can't compare to having an extra lion or two.

Though if they can't manage to get their injured brother back, it'll be a huge blow that will force them to wait even more.

RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Duco Ndona - 04-22-2023

Numbers arent everything. Even being in a big group cant save you if you dont know how to use it and make big mistakes. Them losing against the Gijimas wasnt that much of a stretch and if they go up challenging the PCmales now without a good strategy they will likely be beaten again.

Right now its probably mostly Nym and Skorro that have to be very worried. For the lionesses it will largely be the same problems but with different faces.

I dont think we need to count on that wounded brother.
His wounds were likely severe enough to be abandoned. So I dont think either side is actively working towards a reunion.

Psychological and strenght wise aswell.

They still need to put the muscles, especially 6th male, who is still too young.

RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Mapokser - 04-22-2023

@Tr1x24 if they were to challenge a trio yes, but the only trio in the area control their natal pride so it's irrelevant for them. Nkuhumas are already bugger than Mohawk, are 4 even if we exclude their father and still run from 2 BDM. Strength doesn't matter if the lions don't have the courage to use it. And if you have numbers and courage you don't need individual strength.

If they already had the right mentality they could easily oust any solo males and would have a huge advantage against a duo.

But for now I haven't written the fourth male off. If he doesn't die they'll definitely reunite at some point, certainly before the others were to gain a territory.

Edit: Plus all of these Kambulas are bigger than 1/3 Ndhzengas. And if that Ndhzenga male is strong enough to be territorial sure is the smaller Kambula.

RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Horizon - 04-22-2023

Gijimas are getting closer to their prime and there is no way even 4 of the KYMs could mount a challenge against them anytime soon. If this is how the skirmish ended, it seems they might need more time than what we think. At the end, NK was ready for another round of defence.

Also, there is a big difference btw getting engaged in a skirmish to roaring, tracking down and challenging the dominant males. They need to be confident in each others abilities. I could be wrong but seems it will a year or even more. Lets start the clock :)

RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Ttimemarti - 04-22-2023

The Gijima males are ruthless they basically are responsible for ubosos death and by the way this fight with the nkuhuma male went down 2 of the 3 males fought the third one didn’t really do much he’s the one that turns 4 years old in September along with his sister he needs more time and so tho the other 2 also they need to find their 4th brother a few more months and a few big kills to bulk up then they’ll be ready

RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - BigLion39 - 04-22-2023

These things are so unpredictable! Ready or not, old enough or not, we never know. Lookbwhat happened to the Salas Boys a few months ago  they defended their territory and all of a sudden tables turned as 2/3 young Boys took out 2/3 very experienced and ruthless Salas Boys. Also very rescently Bob Jr and Trygvve werwere taken out by youngsters when by all accounts they should have been able to fend them off. Amazingly unpredictable,  NK male was very lucky.

Good to see he is fine. It would probably been a different story if his attackers had more experience and such.

The youngest one (K6) who didn’t do much turns 4 in May, not September. K3, K4 and K5 were all born in September 2018 though :)

So NK didnt have a kill and Kambulas still attacked him, thats interesting.

Looks like Kambulas "territorial instincts" are starting to kick in.
