RE: Othawa Pride - Cath2020 - 05-23-2024 He and his littermate bro. were probably a bit too young to go nomadic....however, everyone was hopeful that their older cousin, who was at least 10 months older, would help lead them so that the trio would be stronger together. And just as he returned with his sister, he suddenly was GONE. It seemed to happen within a week! So weird. Maybe it was HE that didn't survive? (or was the last male of the trio?) One of the big mysteries fans want to know. It was a lot of pressure on Junior, for sure, being relatively inexperienced himself. We had a phase here, on the site, where a lot of videos were popping up, claiming to be Junior, but they never panned out. They always were filmed from far away distances, making it near impossible to tell for certain, and the ones that were filmed close enough to get a good amount of detail were quickly debunked by those that knew Junior really well. RE: Othawa Pride - Duco Ndona - 05-23-2024 From what I understand Gingerella and three brothers went into Kruger. Where the group got struck by some sort of disaster. Gingerella popped up back in western sector with one of her brothers. The Othawas and Tumbellas rejected them, potentially killing the brother as he disapeared pretty much immidiatly after. Jr was seen alone in Kruger one more time, but the sighting wasnt able to confirm the wearabouts of the third brother. Afterwards we got a lot of fake sightings of them. But that was always wishfull thinking as it was always of three males. While at best, the group was down to two or even two solo lions. RE: Othawa Pride - T_Ferguson - 05-23-2024 I really hate Hyenas!!! Leave our girls alone!! RE: Othawa Pride - Mapokser - 05-29-2024 I wish they'd spend time deep in the west, not in Singita, but I think Ximgungwes are pressuring them. I've been trying to figure out where they can go. I don't think there is any place for them in the West at this point. RE: Othawa Pride - Mapokser - 05-29-2024 Once they reach adulthood they can share the West with Ximgungwe, but it might become tricky once the Ximhungwe cubs grow up. RE: Othawa Pride - Duco Ndona - 05-29-2024 Its going to depend on what the PCmales and Ximhungwes are going to do. If those move east it could free upsome space on the west for the Othawas. But seeing they almost wiped eachother out twice in the span of just a few years, I am not optimistic on the two prides coexisting in the long term. RE: Othawa Pride - Mapokser - 05-30-2024 They were coexisting just fine back in the Mapogo and Selati eras. And beforr Ximgungwes were coexisting with Sand River pride. It was the arrival of the Majingilane that caused all the trouble. |
