One word to describe this sighting. Patience! We tracked this male for close to an hour and then waited for a good hour more in one spot.

There were times when we thought that he'd taken a detour and escaped into the thickets, the shy demeanor that male tigers in CTR generally have.

A lot of other safari vehicles gave up hope and left after a while. The calls died down. There was no indication that he was hiding in the bushes waiting for the din to end, so that he could go on his way.

Then just like that, with no warning, no alarm calls, this hulk of a Tiger scampered across the river bed. It was a blink and a miss sighting. But I managed to get some clicks.

I love this click in particular because of the play of light. The shadows amplify the light rays that fall on his magnificent frame.
