RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tonpa - 03-14-2021 Hey, are these the lost Nharu cubs? RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tr1x24 - 03-14-2021 (03-14-2021, 02:59 PM)Tonpa Wrote: Hey, are these the lost Nharu cubs? Theres 5 of them so they are as no other prides there has cubs of those age. Hope they find the pride. RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Potato - 03-14-2021 RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tonpa - 03-14-2021 Car shy! RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tr1x24 - 03-14-2021 S8/Imbali pride male is absolute beast, they way he stares at camera was intimidating. *This image is copyright of its original author This guy was seen with Imbali pride since mid 2019, he is prob 7-8 yrs old. RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tonpa - 03-15-2021 Seems people are identifying that female as a Talamati lioness? RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tonpa - 03-16-2021 Good news, the 5 cubs have rejoined the pride some nice close-ups of Red Road too RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tonpa - 03-18-2021 Talamatis on Manyeleti RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Dreadlocks - 03-18-2021 Around 10 days ago one of rangers from northen Sabisands said - Talamatis chase Darkmaned Avoca or something like that. they seen after that together or Dark Mane no welcome anymore? RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tonpa - 03-18-2021 We still have no clue about that, he said Dark Mane had been chased off from the pride, but didn't say by who. The strange thing is that 24 hours before his post Dark Mane was seen with the pride. Right now Dark Mane is still in sabi while the Talamatis are in Manyeleti, he doesn't seem to follow them always, I think he likes to stay within calling distance of his brothers maybe. Although the S8 Male was mating with a talamati female last week, so maybe Dark Mane is avoiding him. The strange thing is that 24 hours before his post Dark Mane was seen with the pride. S8/Imbali was mating with a lioness in Manyeleti but the information that it was a Talamati lioness seems dubious. And the Dark Mane being chased off, he literally found Talamatis the previous day and was with them whole drive, so not even 24 hours before, the author of the rumour could not pick a worse timing imho. He was even on Djuma dam cam (visual) and contact calling (and probably receiving a response from Talamatis (only for them to kick him out, "how?" within half a day, lol). It is much more probable that somebody tried to make a narrative of his bit atypical in between movement. As @RookiePundit said, thats not true and people are making things up because he is seen alone around the area where he was not seen before.. I have never seen Talamatis shown any aggresion towards him, and he definitely didn't get ousted by another male.. This was the identification I came across by Ruiting Zhong, what do you think? *This image is copyright of its original author You can sort of make out the whisker spots too, two dots, second one higher than the first RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tr1x24 - 03-19-2021 (03-19-2021, 01:46 AM)Tonpa Wrote: This was the identification I came across, what do you think? Great work, yes it looks like the same lioness. But that doesnt mean that Imbali male has anything to do with DM Avoca. Imbali male has a pride of almost 20 individuals and 7 adult lionesses.. He prob found Talamati lioness on a patrol and mated with her on the way. I was just sceptical to base that on youtube comment or something like that, lots of questionbale things flying around. Still I think that is just a Talamati female being opportunistic and mating with any promising strong males around, especially with Dark Mane too far to interfere, or even traying to lead the S8 male far from the pride by keeping him busy with mating. But I don't have the field info ofc. |
