RE: The Birmingham Males - sik94 - 10-07-2017 *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author SIGHTINGS UPDATE 3 October Afternoon Drive - As we were driving along the main road, the three Styx pride lionesses and one Birmingham male lion walked across the road to go and fetch the cubs who were hidden not too far away. - The females rejoined with the cubs and started walking toward where Hosana male leopard had his impala kill. One of the females along with the cubs ran in and stole the kill. It was amazing to see a lioness try to climb a tree overhanging a river bed. Not too long afterward, the male ran in and stole it completely from the females who had worked so hard to get it down. 4 October Morning Drive - A misty morning started off with lots of general game. - Found one of the Birmingham male lions (Nsuku) laying close to the Styx cub's new den site. It looked as though they had moved to a new location during the night. Kind Regards Nkorho Rangers RE: The Birmingham Males - singo - 10-07-2017 *This image is copyright of its original author A royal visit - the Birmingham males from Sabi Sands (males #2, #3 and #4) dropped in recently... and they were looking very impressive. #hoyohoyomomentsHoyo-Hoyo Safari Lodge Facebook posted this, it is far north from their usual territory in northern sabi sands.. So, maybe a lot we do not know about how far their territory is, could they have taken over the area from another coalition in the region? The head guide of Imbali posted on the Birmingham Boys facebook group that they have only been viewed in the Mluwati Concession 3 times. RE: The Birmingham Males - vinodkumarn - 10-08-2017 A Birmingham male lion was crossing a dam wall while following the Styx pride. The coalition of 4 has successfully sired many cubs, and the prides in the area seem to be thriving. Image by Andrew Khosa Credits: Cheetah Plains *This image is copyright of its original author

RE: The Birmingham Males - vinodkumarn - 10-09-2017 This Birmingham Boy was following one of the Nkuhuma lionesses as she headed down for a drink. He briefly lost sight of her as she dipped down to the water hole and it was interesting to see his reaction as he briefly lost track of her... The Mara lions are in a league of their own when it comes to manes. Nsuku's mane almost looks groomed though, like he never has a bad hair day. Agree about SN's mane as well. RE: The Birmingham Males - vinodkumarn - 10-11-2017 Male Leopard, Tingana lost his kill to the Birmingham male lions this morning. It is rare to see a large male lion climb up a tree - the video will follow soon. Images by Andrew Khosa *This image is copyright of its original author
