Deeply hurt by these hunters, why shouldn't we not be keeping a trophy on hunting down these men?
What right do they have to hunt other living being, killing for food is one thing and for fun a different thing altogether - it is murder!

Even if we consider the fact that hunting is most likely going to continue, there must be better laws regulating this shooting prime specimens of prime age... ideally by non-telescopic classic doublebarrel hunting rifles.

Perfect zoo, perfect encloser... Every zoo should feed their lines in this way. That would be more than enough enrichment as well as exercise, instead of those jokes that British zoos do.

You are close, but since this video isn´t first time here, a small correction. That jumping lion is Aslan, in that video is said (zookeeper who is talking on background), that he is 250 kg. @Pantherinae who has worked in that zoo and knows this particular lion has told, that it has been 255 kg at one point.

I guess, that you made an estimation, when you said 260 kg or do you have some source telling that? You posted earlier some videos about lions and tigers and there you gave estimations, that´s ok when saying it. But if you give exact numbers without telling that it is an estimation, then please put also information, how do you know?

Hi @Shadow,sorry for the late reply, I know Aslan was weighted 252 kg not 255 kg but 90% of time,he weighed 255 kg.260 kg was Aslan's peak weight which was said by @Pantherinae. See post #250 ,you are right about 250 kg which was said in the video. He has passed his prime in the video. He may have lost 5 kilos from 255.Lions and tigers lose their condition after 7-8 .These videos were published on 2015. He may be 8-9 old in those videos considering he was weighed on scales at age 7 back on 2013.Other videos about weights were estimated by me.If there are any confirmed weights,I will post the links.

That was odd, because later @Pantherinae has said exact number and that was 255 kg. Small difference of course but that he have said a few times. But if that was estimation 250-260 kg, then we have in this video said by zookeeper 250 kg. But hopefully @Pantherinae can clarify what is biggest weighed weight of Aslan that he knows. It really is always good to know what is estimation and what is known from weighing.

And from where did you find that 252 kg for Aslan? You asked from zoo or has @Pantherinae mentioned it somewhere? You are a new poster and you seem to like to put a lot of numbers. Nothing wrong in it, but as said, when you put exact numbers, give sources and/or reasoning for those numbers. All I know about Aslan is based on it, what zookeeper say in that video concerning weight and then to it what @Pantherinae has said and that was 255 kg. In that posting, where he writes 250-260 that looks like to be estimation. Then again I have understood that 255 kg was weighed. Now you say 252 kg.... so maybe it is time to clear out a bit.

That was very good and interesting video!! Was it in some posting or did you find it in some other way? But in any case it was good to see it. So 252 kg is then at least clearly confirmed as weighed.

If you have more something like this video feel free to share :) Always good when possible speculations can be minimized.
