Another Nkuhlu male was byhimself in MalaMala, they seem a bit scattered. Hopefully can get something on the others soon RE: Nkuhlu males - Duco Ndona - 12-07-2024 They might just not be visible from that angle. RE: Nkuhlu males - Mapokser - 12-07-2024 It seems like the injuries are minor. Although Gijimas have not killed other males, all of the ones they have attacked were seriously injured, so seeing ST so good after being caught on Gijima territory is interesting. Nkuhlu and Gijima might be the greatest coalition rivalry I've seen in terms of sheer number of encounters between them. I've literally lost count. - 5 nomadic Nkuhlu + Delaporte challenging Gijimas, 1h of back ans forth until Gijimas chased them off; - Gijimas bump onto 5 Nkuhlu, almost go for the chase before realizing they were against 5, then they run and Nkhulu give chase; - Gijima chase 3 Nkuhlu and steal their Sand River female; - 4 Nkuhlu chase Gijima from their territory until LM Gijima turns to attack them, they chase Nkuhlu to MalaMala who chases them back; - Gijima catch ST Nkuhlu now. These were the clashes I remember out of my head but I might be forgetting a clash or two. Edit: Yeah, forgot Gijimas chasing LM Gijima and maybe LM Gijima chased some of them once too, or was it Charleston sons, I can't remember. RE: Nkuhlu males - Ngonya - 12-08-2024 4 Nkuhlu males at Sabi Sand "3/5 Nkhulu brothers, the first one mating with a Southern Pride lioness, the second still recovering from his recent beating, but noticable improving, the third looking fit and well. One other was around too and the 5th not seen." The author could've made a confusion but im not sure either. If that is a Southern pride female, wouldn't be the smartest decision by the Nkuhlus, especially with their leader bruised. Can only await for further info. RE: Nkuhlu males - Ttimemarti - 12-11-2024 So the gijimas have been able to catch multiple males but have not killed any so are they purposely not going all in on these fights (as in this is a serious threat we must kill him) or they’re just giving warnings… some pretty serious warnings other than Uboso who ultimately died because of those injuries and now skorro jr who’s been badly handicapped by them… when it comes to skorro jr and the plains camp males i think he just put up too much of a fight and Makunga backed off which made his brother back off plus he’s wasn’t a serious threat but they definitely didn’t want him around RE: Nkuhlu males - Mapokser - 12-11-2024 The Ndhzenga had a club front foot, it probably makes it difficult for him to wrestle, especially in a 2v1, still he survived an entire year after that. Tumbela was already skinny and had a permanent limp, but still is surviving just fine despite no pride or partners. I think the theory that the seriousness of these attacks are at least mostly random might be right, sometimes the lions are in the mood to go for the kill or try to at least make sure the injuries will be eventually fatal or crippling, and most of the time they're happy just asserting their dominance after a beating, regardless of the threat level. A 2v1 no doubts. Jesus, it didnt look so serious from previous photos.. He got beaten quite badly. As in K4s case, lucky to be alive. Prob a good lesson for him to not play with Gijimas, as he and Smudge really dont have support from the rest. Any info about him walking? Those bites on knees look painful, it could easily break/dislocate some bones/ligaments there (BYM had same bite injuries, and got permanent limp). Still, while he was injured in those attacks, given his recent developments (hip bones wearing through his skin), and what we know about stress (fighting, injuries, etc...) appearing to trigger an onset of serious TB symptoms, I am of the belief that his permanent limp is likely the result of his having TB. RE: Nkuhlu males - Ttimemarti - 12-12-2024 I feared this would happen TB would get the better of him but I meant like his current shape it was the gijimas that beat him up and now he’s literally a scavenger and a shell of his former self unfortunately it’s a shame that he along with his brothers all had TB pretty badly |
